My Diary - Journal with Lock

I used to hand write in a journal but a friend recommended this app! It’s so cute, with such a low yearly price. I love being able to use it as a comfort throughout the day to put in as many updates as I want. It’s easy to add pictures and I adore the voicenotes feature. There are so many cute themes to choose from to truly customise it. I can see myself using this app for years to come. Also love the year ago memories :) The only downside is (rare) bugs preventing you to post pictures, and in playing voice note recordings. I’ve also recorded voice notes and had them lost before. But these small bugs are not enough to stop me loving this app :)

It’s such a good app to right down all my personal stuff and it can be locked and only you can unlock it which I find it to be very easy as all you need to do is make a password. I recommend anyone to use this app to right down their personal stuff

But then it started to not keep my diary entries. Whenever I types something, it wouldn’t save it! I love this app so much but if this keeps happening I will start to not like it! But other than that, the app functions very well and even though it was kind of a let down because of the restrictions due to the Pro features,I enjoy typing in there! But speaking about the Pro feature it is also worth paying for because you get so much more options!

Update: if you’re not going to fix the fact that I can’t highlight sections larger than I can see (the screen doesn’t scroll when highlighting or allow you to move the screen and then continue highlighting!) without the keyboard in the way/glitching out, then at least add an undo button instead. Or I’ll just go back to NOTES! It’s infuriating! I should be able to edit the top of an entry and still scroll down to the very bottom again to continue writing, without having to click off to make the keyboard disappear and then click the very last word to ensure the text is high enough to see when the keyboard pops up again. This is REALLY BASIC STUFF! I am absolutely loving this app! I’m going to start with a few glitches I’m noticing for the team to review (as this is a paid app) and then I’ll list all the things I love about it. - When I save an entry, any paragraphs with a space between them add an extra space between the paragraphs. Once I’ve corrected it once it doesn’t do it again but any new paragraphs will do it, until I’ve corrected them too. - Is there or can we add an undo button? - adding dot points (stars) all my previous formatting was undone repeatedly (bolded and coloured font). It’s very frustrating! - when editing paragraphs, I can’t see the text for the key board (it might be too high up or under the keyboard) but I also can’t move the text up and down to see it because that causes the keyboard to disappear and then this issue just rinse and repeats. It would be better if the keyboard remained until I tapped the text to type as opposed to the instant I touch the text. - when using dot points, backspace deleted whole words instead of letters (hence why an undo button would be handy). I LOVE being able to customise the text, add entries retrospectively on the calendar, add photos and adjust their size within the text, change the background on individual entries, selecting an emoji to indicate how I’m feeling at the time of a journal entry, and the stickers you can add! The analysis of the emojis and frequency of entries (etc.) is also super cool! I also really appreciate the templates including the gratitude ones - they’re excellent for when I need ideas or if I wanted to add my own (eg if I was working with prompts from a psych as I have in the past). I also really like that the unlock function is a pattern I created just for this app (if I’m not using Face ID) because then people who know my code can’t get in! This app has really helped me

Everything is amazing you can do anything you dream of. This is an amazing app and you don’t need money for basic things and you get badges that will motivate you. Highly recommended app!
