About World Wildlife Fund

For nearly 60 years, WWF has worked to help people and nature thrive. As the world’s leading conservation organisation, WWF works in more than 100 countries. At every level, we collaborate with people around the world to develop and deliver innovative solutions that protect communities, wildlife, and the places in which they live.

People are at the centre of everything we do. WWF works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon, transform markets and policies toward sustainability, and protect and restore species and their habitats. Our efforts ensure that the value of nature is reflected in decision-making from a local to a global scale. WWF connects cutting-edge conservation science with the collective power of our partners in the field, more than one million supporters in the United States and five million globally, as well as partnerships with communities, companies, and governments.

Today, human activities put more pressure on nature than ever before, but it’s also people who have the power to change this trajectory. Together, we can address the greatest threats to life on this planet and protect the natural resources that sustain and inspire us.

Make your daily life a little bit more eco-friendly.

Suzannmonaco2013 on

The app's tips have really helped me out. They've made me use less plastic, take public transport more, and even switch to a more eco-friendly diet.

Buggy and an individual solution to a corporate problem

Hi, so I’ve deleted the app after signing in 3 days in a row and trying to access my profile section, where if I tapped on it the app would instantly crash. I tried re-downloading but nothing changed. Secondly, let’s be real here! WWF was founded by a group of conservatives who quite frankly couldn’t give a damn about the environment, and also Prince Phillip who is part of the royal family - one of the most shining examples of inequality in the world. I see this as a internal contradiction. Furthermore, WWF has been sponsored by Citibank, Bank of America, HSBC, du pont (who creates the PFOA/Teflon crisis) and even the late oil baron J. Paul Getty :( overall yous need to do better, in the app, and overall transparency

It didn’t help…

I downloaded this when it came out. The billionaires are still flying round the world telling the poor to save the planet. Not sure how this helps turn hypocrisy into action. I guess it might make a few people feel better about doing nothing.

Really good!

I LOOVVE IT on

I am really determined to help everyone make the world a better place, WWF is a great place to get started. One little simple test and it can tell you how to step into a better and more eco life. One thing I did spot was.. how it asks you for your Postcode… I trusted them to keep my personal information safe. Other than that minor issue, I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants a better lifestyle but doesn’t know where to start. It helped me do it definitely, every since using this app I have been using less electricity, less gas and more bamboo! Love this app ❤️

Could be even better! 🙂

It is a very good app in terms of helping people make a difference in many different ways! However, I think that this app can be even better to encourage people to keep up their work and “reward” people in order to keep them engaged! :) I think an improvement could be that there are weekly/monthly challenges like those that are available on “Apple Fitness” app, people get “medals” in app if they hit a certain amount of targets/score. It gives people more satisfaction whilst looking back on achievements. Secondly, maybe a tab/page where people can see how many times they have completed a mission, giving an overview of their history and gives them an incentive to keep rejoining a mission once it is completed, rather than a ‘one-and-done’ mentality. I hope this helps! 🙂🙂

Disappointed

Downloaded the app and have been excited to use the tips and challenges. Seems like a brilliant idea. Unfortunately the app just crashes every time I log in . Hopefully the next update will fix this so maybe I’ll try again.

Needs Refining

*This is an update from WWF’s reply: • “Thanks for taking the time to explain. I don’t doubt your figures, but how they are put across (like Boris’s Brexit bus, where he didn’t lie, but it wasn’t right). • I fully appreciate the work WWF has done over the decades. We are still using the app & my Grandson has gifted WWF animals to everyone for Christmas. • Anyone over 40yrs is fed up with the Millennial attitude of “Look what you have done to the planet! You are disgusting!”. Not even political leaders knew the extent of the damage they were doing 30yrs ago, and we have come a long way since. • Disinformation is worse than inaccurate information, & a personal footprint needs to be “personal”. No one wants to many questions, but if it’s not enough, it’s not accurate. • In the results graph there’s; Your footprint, UK footprint & Global footprint, which is tiny in comparison to the UK 🇬🇧. Yet China 🇨🇳, India 🇮🇳, Russia 🇷🇺 & the USA 🇺🇸 have HUGE footprints compared to the UK! Your taking into the equation third world countries with little pollution, & landmass, which is not right. Give countries across the world credit for where they were a decade ago, where they are now & *Positive Reinforcement* of the difference individuals can make. So please don’t trash our country 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧 or any country that’s trying. You don’t make friends that way. • I have planted over 15,000 trees since 2001 with the 1st Carbon Neutral Driving School in the UK. People had to ask me what it meant being ‘Green’ then, but I get the message. People born in the 90’s onwards get the message. You need to get in the head of those born <1990 & get rid of this divide of “your generation stole my generation”. It’s not right & you do have a responsibility to change that. • Thanks again for your response & I hope the above helps you & others.

Looks terrible on iPad

The title summarises my feelings about this app

Why do I have to login?

walking john on

After downloading the app I skipped logging in with an account. Looked around the app for a few minutes and thought it looks like an informative app. It then asked me to login again. Could not skip it a second time. I just don't see why I need to login just to read the information. What is most valuable for WWF? Collecting my information or trying to educating me? I have deleted the app.

randomly crashes

only when giving me the result of my carbon footprint. Randomly crashes, comes up as a black screen my phone. Tried it 3 times so far with the same results.
