The My-Happy-Mind app is a tool for making our emotions healthy & positive. The key to our happiness is in our own hands.
Happiness does not just happen. We have to make it happen. Happiness & unhappiness are two ends of the spectrum of our emotions.
The APP is a tool for a healthy lifestyle that can move our emotions toward healthier states with daily practice.
When our mind wants to be happy, we feel happy! When it wants to be sad, angry, frustrated, anxious, we feel accordingly. Most of us refuse to accept this. But it’s a fundamental fact that illustrates the power of the human mind.
From childhood, we are unwittingly trained to falsely believe that happiness depends on having our desires fulfilled, and depends on something else other than our own mind. But self-reflection, observation & analysis of our own experiences, can show that happiness depends entirely on our own selves, on states of our own mind.
Positive, healthy emotions & thoughts go along with a happy state of the mind. And a happy mind leads to good actions that increase the chances of good results. It’s the reverse for unhappy minds.
This APP recommends a daily routine of just half hour, paced over the day, in small chunks of time, when we spend time only on our inner selves. It harnesses the combined power of music, meditation, laughing and learning. We call the daily routine as the Happiness Formula. The APP also lets you to track your progress. That’s the best evidence we can have, when we see things working for ourselves!
The APP has 8 exercises, called Buddies, that help our minds become healthier, more resilient and more positive to deal with life’s ups and downs, so we experience and enjoy happiness more often. The Buddies are our daily companions.
The Music Buddy has specially created, short, music clips to listen to, 5 times a day. They invoke several positive emotions of being calm, relaxed, confident, positive, loving, compassionate, cheerful, energetic, joyful and happy.
The Meditation Buddy provides a unique Wave Meditation sound to help achieve a calm, focused and resilient state of mind with just 10 minutes of daily meditation.
There is also a Laugh Buddy, for your laughing exercise. You can choose a laughing buddy and laugh with your buddy, loudly for just one minute daily. Laughing generates happiness hormones.
Learning to adopt a healthy lifestyle is key to happiness. The HAPPILY Podcasts have several three-minute podcasts of practical guidance to deal with life’s situations.
The Goals Buddy helps you track your progress. It provides evidence of success in your daily happiness practice.
Entertaining the mind by listening to our favorite songs and instruments is also important for the daily happiness practice. The Fund Buddy lets you upload short music clips and listen to them at different times of the day.
There is also a Chat Buddy to anonymously share your challenges with peers, worldwide. Seeing how others are dealing with life’s situations can build confidence and energy to find our own solutions. The Mind Mirror is a powerful, self-reflection tool to become aware of our inner strengths, and harness them to create a happy state of mind.
Why is the My-Happy-Mind App important? There is an unhappiness crisis in many countries. In the US, violence, anger, depression, suicides, addictions, panic, anxiety, bad relationships and poor work performance are increasing each year at an alarming rate. Addictions to video games and social media, and others, are not helping this situation. Almost 50% of US population has mental-health problems. This crisis exists in spite of millions of music, yoga, inspirational/positive messaging, praying, goal setting, counseling, worship, wellness, and coaching services and products that are available, along with brain vitamins, medications & psychiatric treatments using CBT principles.
