My Learn to Swim

This app is amazing with all of it’s features! I would really recommend this app to a parent who has a child doing Learn to Swim swimming lessons. The only reason I gave this app 4 stars is because there is this feature that I loved that you could register a certificate from its code. A few months ago I lost my stage 2 certificate and now I can’t register the certificate to the app. It would be amazing for you guys to bring back that feature. Unfortunately I live in Leeds and Leeds Council don’t use or utilise this app, or provide any certificates (even though they follow the approach). As such, i can’t update it with her progress which is a shame as it looks great, just would be good if I could “self certify” progress.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to use this app. We kept getting error messages about the app not having permissions to scan photos but we checked and rechecked this and the permissions were all available. It’s not very intuitive to navigate. While I was on it some awards or achievements popped up but then I wasn’t able to find them again. For the record I’m not some technological Luddite, I use apps daily. Unfortunately this one just isn’t very functional.

My child loves collecting swimming certificates and unlocking them in the app.

Enter the code - code not found!! Well I’m sorry but that’s the flippin code that’s there!!!! Utter waste of time and effort.

We’ve only just discovered this app & think it’s fab!! But!! My daughter is on stage 4,it would be great to be able to add in a photo from your camera roll (not just take one with the camera) to be able to add the relevant stickers to past pics when she achieved stage 1,2 & 3! Please make this possible!!! EDIT: please add in all the badges you do!! Like water safety 2 & 3, 400m, 800m etc etc as well as the above!! An app we love is slipping because you’re not up to date!

I tried this app out because it thought it would be fun for my 3 year old. Initially, the only thing I could do was let her choose her avatar and see what she should learn at each stage. Alright, but kind of a waste. We finally got her most recent certificates, but they only do 4 of the ones available for her level on the app at her pool, the rest we won’t be able to get badges or certificates for. For earlier levels, we only got one of the duckling certificates due to Covid and the class system changing (I thought she was still in ducklings until the certificates were available). Today we scanned in her awards only to find she doesn’t unlock anything at this level. We took pictures, but couldn’t find them anywhere in the app or my photos afterwards. Total waste of time.

It would be great if we could use the badges our swimming centre gives out for passing instead of the certificates which are £2.50 each, all those certificates soon add up. Seems rather like a hidden cost that we can’t use any of the features of the app without being charged by the leisure centre

It may well be a fantastic app - I’ve no idea! After registering and confirming my email thats it! Stuck in the log in page.

The previous app I used showed me all of the skills that were required to pass the current stage and how well they could do each activity. This new app that we are required to use shows me all the stages but does not indicate if they have been passed and doesn’t not indicate how far through the current stage they are. Seems more of a quantity over quality app.
