This app has really helped me to visualise my climbing progression, and what I need to do to get better!
The app itself is brilliant so far, as someone who is new to climbing I’ve found it offers loads of possibilities for what to learn or do. From a customer service front it has also been outstanding, very helpful and overwhelmingly kind!
Thought I’d sign into my local climbing gym, but when i searched for it, there are 13 different options for the same centre?! The app itself is ok, but little things like (and the confusing navigation) this really spoil the experience. Stop adding all the features and concentrate on UX pls 🙏🙏
I was looking for a timer app for hang boards and thought that surely a climbing focused app would get it right. Unfortunately not. There are a few things that’s fundamentally broken in the UX that makes it unusable. Firstly the time counts up and not down. So I have to do mental arithmetic to know how long I have left for my hang or for my rest. Secondly, there’s no count-in. When the time is up, you get a chime and you’re in. That means you have to keep watching the app to know when you have to prepare to start your next hang. A 10 seconds count in would be helpful, since it’s not uncommon to rest for 2-5 mins. Thirdly, my phone keeps going to sleep even when the timer is running, so I have to keep waking it up and getting my phone all chalky. This doesn’t happen with Beastmaker app. Until these are addressed, this feature is not fit for use.
I’ve been using this app for about 2 years. It’s been great for tracking progress and logging activity. It’s brilliant for replacing paper logs. The ability to add photos and videos is great so you can plan for future red points. I’d like to see an ability to download your data or even better integrations with log books to make updates even more seamless.
Great app to track what you are climbing and how much you are improving! Very user friendly and it’s nice to be able to see what everyone else around the world is doing. Would be amazing if it had an app to go with a smart watch (Garmin’s etc.)
Great app, really motivating and great to track routes and progress.
Initially not user friendly at all, give it some time and you'll work it out. Alot of improvement needed. Cannot log a single pitch trad and a multi in same session (get white screen of death). Cannot log multiple locations in one session. Needs an ability to add specific areas (doesn't have all crag names, will cover general area for most stuff). Once these are rectified should be good.
Great app, nice to be able track my progress. Would be good to add more charts for progress and have your personal progress less hidden away.
I’ve tried a few different places for digitally logging climbs and have found no app better than this one. More than that, the challenges it prompts have upped my game considerably AND it’s made me more accountable to myself with what I’ve tried and failed on. One plus would be to have a notes option on each session because this is something I do on paper. I like that you can choose your grading system too (my gym uses different nationalities, so it’s super useful for me). Great work folks, you’ve really done a great job with this one!
