Description

The MyID® Identity Agent App from Intercede® is an iOS application that manages the issuance of PKI credentials to users in the form of keys and certificates to phones or tablets.
These credentials can be used for securing access to systems and protecting data including S/MIME signed and encrypted email, VPN authentication and 2-way SSL secure web browsing.
Credentials can be written to the iOS system where they are available to apps that can access the system keystore.
Credentials can also be written to an Intercede keystore, and via the App Extension Framework, the Identity Agent app acting as an Identity Provider, can provide cryptographic services (such as signing and encryption) to trusted 3rd party apps. Credentials in the Intercede keystore can be protected by a PIN or biometric (device dependent) combining the security of two-factor authentication with a simple user experience.
For app developers wishing to embed PKI credentials into their own apps, the Identity Agent is also available as an SDK. The SDK simplifies credential delivery and usage while allowing app developers to maintain their own branding. Please contact Intercede for further information.
Please Note: This is NOT a standalone application and will not operate without connectivity to a MyID system.
MyID is a credential management system (CMS) that provides policy-driven issuance and lifecycle management of credentials to smart cards, USB tokens, virtual smart cards and mobile devices, including issuance of derived PIV credentials compliant with FIPS 201 / SP800-157.
