mypensionID is the secure, simple and fast way to verify your identity for your pension
schemes. mypensionID also allows you to update your address in one place for all of your
pensions shown in your dashboard, whether at home or on the go. mypensionID is designed
to put you back in control of your data, you decide which pension scheme to update and with what data.


Using innovative and proven mobile technology and biometrics, mypensionID offers a secure and convenient way for you to keep your pension scheme data up to date, ensuring
you never lose touch with your pension pots and control the information you receive. You
own and are in control of your data.


HOW TO REGISTER
If you have received an invitation letter from mypensionID, all you need to do is follow the
onscreen instructions to onboard with mypensionID. You’ll need the 12-digit Unique Security code from the letter and you’ll need to verify your identity with a selfie and a valid government issued photo identity document (passport, driving licence or national ID card).
After you’re set up, you can create a 5-digit passcode to log in faster in future.

App is hanging whilst taking “a few seconds to verify identity”. I don’t like having to supply personal information to a privately supplied app without assurances around security and more information about who they are verifying my identity with.

It did't work with my first two attempts, I don't know why. Then I turned off my VPN and everything loaded correctly and I had no problems. Found it pretty good.

I wouldn’t even give this rubbish one star. It is unbelievable trash and deserves to be part of the 19th Century. Was hoping to set this up to avoid the annual snail mail id trail to/from Australia but after 4 attempts I had to give up. Thought PIC were better than this.

This app is truly appalling. It has great difficulty recognising Australia and when asking for manual input it is clunky in the extreme. Did anyone perform proper user acceptance testing before release as a live app! If any of my former staff had produced such an abomination they would be ex-staff.

Awful app that I was forced to download and use to verify my existence. Went all the way through the biometric process before the app reported an error and didn’t specify what it was. Advised me to contact their help email. Rubbish, hope too many others have to through this painful process.

I have never experienced such a badly made app before. It has every problem that proper developers know about. These people are clearly charlatans. The app is ugly and poorly worded, so that it is not clear what you should be doing or why. But the main problem is that the one thing that it should do DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I have just spent an hour trying to get it to recognise my face and my blink. There are PLENTY of apps out there that do this perfectly, so there is no great technical hurdle. But this dreadful, dreadful app keeps giving different error messages several times a second so that it will not recognise a face before it says time out. Then if it does eventually recognise a face, it will not recognise a blink. Then next time you use it, it won’t work again. So terrible, such a waste of time, so amazing that these problems have been commented on for years and nothing is done to rectify them. And no response from the developer to the problems. What a heap of ordure. I shall be writing to my pension company to suggest they cancel their contract with these frauds.

Here we go again i dread the time of year when i have to use this utter rubbish of an app. Almost a hour yet again surely its about time this app was improved. This cannot detect blinking in a timely manner and as we pensioners get older this app in its current state will only get more difficult to use . 4I years of frustration

Like everyone else, I spent the best part of an hour trying to get it to take my photo, and ultimately gave up. Does the developer not read these comments? Do they just not care? The app is completely useless and I will be writing to my pension provider to protest.

Agreed. The blinking saga has not been fixed. 2 September 2022. Times out before it can verify my Security Code so I can’t use it. September 2023.

Cannot recognise a face. Always suggests not enough light. I’m in the sun in Australia!! Can’t get much better light. Absolute waste of time.
