Schwer zu bedienen
Leider funktioniert die APP seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr zuverlässig. Tracks werden nicht mehr zuverlässig aufgezeichnet und daher nicht mehr brauchbar:-(

Description
myTracks turns your iPhone or Apple Watch into a fully functional GPS logger. The GPS recordings can be displayed on different maps, which are also available without an internet connection if required. During a recording you can place and name waypoints to mark important locations. In addition to the waypoints, you can also take photos in myTracks, which are then assigned directly to the GPS track. The GPS tracks are stored exclusively on your iPhone, which means you don't have to register or log in anywhere. If you want, you can sync all your GPS tracks between your devices (iOS and macOS) via iCloud.
You can start and stop GPS recordings individually or use the energy-saving diary mode, where myTracks automatically creates a single track with the most important positions for each day. You can conveniently manage the GPS tracks in the track library. From there you can export the tracks or the associated photos, e.g. by e-mail and publish them on social networks.
The integrated Apple Watch app shows information about the current GPS recording. This includes the start time, distance covered, current, minimum and maximum altitude and the current map section. The GPS recording of the iPhone can be started and stopped via the Apple Watch and waypoints can be added. Since myTracks 5 you can also record directly with the Apple Watch.

Nach Update auf iOS 14.5.1 funktionierte neben anderen apps auch Motion X nicht mehr (Kein Support seitens Entwickler, mM auch Foul seitens Apple) Mehrere Tracking app durchprobiert. MyTracks - Der GPS-Logger ist für mich voller Ersatz für GPS HD MotionX Auch unter Motion X gespeicherte .gpx Spuren werden fehlerfrei auf OSM ader Apple Maps mit MyTracks am iPad angezeigt Aufgezeichnete Tracks können exportiert werden Synchronisierung zwischen MAC und iOS über iCloud mit MyTracks Vers. 4.x Kartenmaterial OSM kann lokal gespeichert werden - wichtig, wenn man in exotischen Gegenden kein Internet hat Gibts auch was negatives? Bedienoberfläche etwas spartanisch und optisch auf das Wesentliche reduziert GPS Empfang könnte besser signalisiert werden Neben iCloud wäre auch ein Import von .gpx Files wünschenswert Trotzdem *****
Genialer GPS Logger
Wenn jetzt noch Rasterkarten wie zB die AMAP als InApp-Kauf möglich wäre, dann gäbe es 5 Sterne!
App stürzt ab
App lässt sich nicht öffnen seit letzten Update!!! iPhone XS

Nach letzten Update startet die App nicht mehr.
Unbrauchbar unter iOS 13.2 geworden
Schade! War unter vorhergehenden Versionen einigermaßen brauchbar. Und jetzt: Müll und von meinem iPhone 8plus gelöscht.
Spätstarter
Leider findet die App den aktuellen Standort oft erst nach 10min oder noch später. D.h. die gemessene Strecke und dazugehörigen Statistiken stimmen leider nicht. Bedienung selbst wäre ok.
Absolut Spitze, besonders in Kombination mit der macOS-App
Die macOS-App von myTracks verwende ich schon lange. Aufgezeichnet habe ich die Tracks bisher mit einem externen GPS-Gerät, die ich dann in die macOS-App geladen habe. Hat perfekt funktioniert. Inzwischen verwende ich die iOS myTracks-App zum Aufzeichnen. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Selten so ein gutes Stück Software gesehen. Synchronisierung mit der macOS-App funktioniert problemlos über WLAN, auch ohne iCloud. Stabil, gut strukturiert und reagiert schnell. Unglaublich umfangreicher Funktionsumfang in der Basis-Variante. Erweiterungen habe ich keine installiert, finde aber die Preise absolut fair. Erste App an der ich absolut nichts auszusetzen habe. In diesem Sinne empfehle ich auch jeden die macOS-App, die wirklich jeden Cent wert ist! So gute Software gibt's heute nur mehr selten.
