I Love, love, love the UPMC site. Coordination with my doctors is so easy through this site.
I can’t manage to get rid of the red tick marks to show that I reviewed all the messages but having the ability to communicate any time with pictures is so convenient and It helps me keep track of the issues I’ve addressed
I hate having to go through all this trouble of making my own appointments this way! I wish it were as simple as calling in and making an appointment with the receptionist, that’s the way it SHOULD be! After all, if the receptionists don’t make cancel or reschedule appointments what’s the point in having them there at all? It was a complete pain getting the app then learning to navigate it, especially as I am not from this generation and have never truly ever been FORCED to have internet or wireless telephones. I have to rely on my children as it my grandchild dictating my words now. I should really just get paid to do this JOB as it is not in my job description as a PATIENT. Your patients are SICK, not secretaries! This whole thing truly enrages me especially as I cannot do this for myself. I can vote & drive a car, but I am not trained as a secretary to make my own appointments especially when I am ill! Thank you nothing, Unsatisfied PATIENT
Overall it’s a good app, making it easy to message doctors/nurses, schedule appointments, view test results etc. But the app is terribly slow and not smooth. Since this is such an important and vital app to patients, it should run much smoother like how social media apps run. We should be able to look at our results when we are offline as well, like the Google docs app. Also there’s too much downtime for the app, every time I need to use it there’s a message saying “issues loading some services”.
I use the app a lot. When you select confirm appointment in the app you still get a call and a text asking you to confirm your appointment. I have bills from UPMC that I cannot pay on the app so I end up going to two other websites just to pay bills fir services from UPMC providers/departments. I have family that utilizes other apps for care from healthcare competitors of UPMC and the app is nicer and easier to use.
These patient portals including the shop healthy site are NO GOOD. I’ve made my complaints known to UPMC concierge for several years now. It has been a total waste of my precious time complaining. For UPMC has failed to repair their websites. Also UPMC makes Billions of dollars a year, and they have an truly BAD WEBSITE that should be redesigned to assist their patients!!
The healthcare employees are basically useless anymore. I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon for over a month now & haven’t gotten 1 reply back. No phone call, no email, no app notifications, nothing. Had a bad sinus infection, called my PCP for some antibiotics and other medicine for a sinus infection, was told I need to schedule an in person physical before they could prescribe me anything. So I said, “Ok”. Let’s schedule one. They scheduled me one for 2 months later. Tell me again why I pay for insurance? And pay for co pays? When I still receive bills after paying my copay, and 2 times they actually sent in bills to a bill collector for $59 even tho I received no paperwork or any statements on the app stating I owed $59. Absolute dumpster fire & pathetic excuse of a healthcare corporation. I could go on and on.
This app(software) is very easy to use and intuitive. My records, images, and test result are all stored here and you can review at any time, making saving my own copies less important now. As an elder person, the app makes it too easy NOT to use.
2yrs and I have yet to have anyone on message board available to respond to care needed. Call The office and get sent to This app. It’s only good as a appointment reminder. And if you’re good at reading results and interpretation you can at least see Reports.
