We have two 720 controllers, both can’t display the DHW temperature on either screen. Please replace the humidity with the DHW temperature, as I’m sure most users don’t need this on the main menu. The second 720 (first floor next to main bathroom and close to the on-suite) which is remote mode, also doesn’t have the option to boast the hot water, so you need go to the main controller and check the temp, and then boast if required.
Following a reply from the technical department my wife is now able to use the app as well which was one of our goals. We still think it is expensive for what it is. The manual control still becomes a simple thermometer!
We were led to believe that we could control our heating system from either of our phones instead of which only one phone may be connected and it then made the little thermometer control useless except as a thermometer. A very expensive mistake on our part.
Too hard to get to see current hot water temp and whether heat pump is currently heating water (should be on Home Screen). Too easy to get to network/installation menus.
App doesn’t recognise the serial number of our newly registered boiler
Many thanks to Arran for his help. The app is now connected to the system There is one thing that appears to missing from the app, and that is the energy usage. The options are not available on the info display.
Enjoying the app but we had a power cut last night which disconnected my vaillant. Easy enough to reconnect here but if we’d been away we wouldn’t have been able to . Disappointing as the app is particularly useful when away so we’d have lost access.
When I’m changing room settings such as schedule or temperature override the app shows all ok but after few minutes all is reverted to old settings so cannot control system through the app anymore
I’m sitting here freezing. Can’t get the app to turn on my heating. Renxering the expensive WiFi val yes a pointless expense. The old app (VRC) has its faults but at least I could turn on my heating. This app is soooooo frustrating- it has changed my whole view of this company - I used to love them.
Coming from other apps such as Nest and Wiser I installed the new gateway as my new house already had a Vaillant setup installed - simple app which seems reliable and responsive Only negatives are 1. The consumption data from the VRC700 does seem to be pushed into the app - this is a real shame as it would be really useful information 2. Seems the VR50 is discontinued and there is no alternative to the iTRV - I really wanted these to control my radiators - can’t get an answer from Vaillant as to whether in these are supported on they new app and gateway and will be supported long term or be removed in the near future
