Description

Get in the zone and make it count, with a social platform and gamification to keep you feeling good, inside and out.
Join an inclusive community fuelled by physical activity, fitness and wellbeing with the heart rate monitor that rewards effort over ability. Or build your own community among your family, friends, and classmates.
At the heart of over 7500 gym chains in over 80 countries, Myzone is a unique wearable fitness brand that rewards effort rather than ability. It's the secret to motivating anyone to feel good about exercise.
The Myzone app uses inclusive, game-based mechanics and social elements to prove time and time again that we're stronger together. When combined with a Myzone heart rate monitor, the app creates personalised zones, based on your maximum heart rate, which means anyone can compete together on a level playing field.
What is Myzone?
▶ FEEL GOOD INSIDE AND OUT
Myzone develops accurate wearable technology, providing engaging and motivational experiences that support lifestyle changes to make exercise habits stick.
▶ JOIN THE COMMUNITY OR BUILD YOUR OWN
Myzone is used by 1.8 million people around the world at home, outdoors and in our partner gyms such as Snap Fitness, LA Fitness, Bannatyne Health Club, Fitness First, Anytime Fitness, and UFC GYM.
▶ USE IT YOUR WAY
Myzone connects through analogue, ANT+ and Bluetooth with gym equipment, and Apple Watch. Myzone integrates with Apple Health to save your workout data and biometrics such as weight, BMI, and BMR. It also integrates with third-party apps such as MapMyRun, Strava, and MyFitnessPal.
Myzone integrates with many other platforms, including Apple Health. If you grant permission, we will save your activity calories, height, weight, BMI, BMR and body fat data to Apple Health.
▶ THE MOST ACCURATE TRACKERS
Myzone heart rate monitors let you know the exact level that you're working out at, in real time. The heart rate monitoring system features electrocardiography (ECG) measurement that's accurate up to 99.4%, as used by health professionals. The MZ-Switch combines an ECG sensor with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to create the world's first interchangeable heart rate monitor for the gym, outdoors or in water.
▶ LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD
Myzone rewards effort over ability. Each device automatically updates how it records your effort, every time you progress through your goals. The five tailored effort zones make heart rate training easy to understand. Each zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate, meaning that athletes and fitness newbies can exercise together to earn MEPs (Myzone Effort Points).
▶ WORLD-CLASS WORKOUTS
Myzone means you can take part in live classes with real studio buzz, wherever you are. Exclusive to the Myzone app, MZ-Remote is the world's first virtual live group workout where participants can connect and exercise together, while receiving real-time biometric feedback and personalised coaching from a trainer.
▶ LOVED BY THE EXPERTS
Myzone has been featured and reviewed by international journalists from publications such as Men's Fitness, Men's Health, Women's Health, The Huffington Post, GQ, T3, Wired and Esquire for over 10 years.

I’m into it for 2 weeks and it has been good so far

Great for a few months… then it’s horrible/garbage

I wanted to write a review especially for people thinking of starting on Myzone. As someone who has been using this for over two years let me just say it’s great at first. The device seemed pretty accurate. It helped me track my progress and got me motivated. Then after a few months the accuracy of the belt starts to waver and it starts disconnecting mid workout. It gets worse the longer you have it and customer service says the solution is to get a new device/upgrade to a newer model. The latter is what I first did. After using the new belt it still faltered after a while and after complaining again I was told the same thing. Comparing their products to my Fitbit they just could not be more different when it comes to quality. I have never needed to replace my Fitbit, it still works and has a much longer life expectancy than the Myzone. The Myzone company like others out there make terrible products that are only great for 2 or more months, which means you have to keep buying more. Granted, these belts are not cheap (around $100+). I’m frustrated as I wasted money and two years of my life growing my status on this. Please take my advice and save your time and money. Get a Garmin or a Fitbit instead

A fitness game changer!

I love every thing about it. The older versions had some issues but now it’s rock solid. I don’t use advanced features but for tracking my workouts and keeping me inspired it’s exactly what I need. Thanks!

App cosmetic issues

MyZone works well, and the data is great. The App had a major update in version 3, and has progressively become cosmetically worse. The newest update features two giant horizontal boxes at the top; one at the very top to display a logo and a search button, the other “All” to filter by groups. Both are completely unnecessary to display, let alone taking up a large amount of screen area in the Home Screen and feed. Thankfully, the group filter box goes away after scrolling, however the top search box is always present. The feed also used to show many workouts, however it has become so cosmetically bloated, you can now only see 2-3 workouts per screen. More unnecessary scrolling. The font was also changed in version 3, from a thin/very legible font to something more fat and round which also displays less characters for workout names on the feed. MyZone did add some great features, such as the ability to snapshot a workout and share it elsewhere… the problem is that the snapshot options are terrible. Some show the MyZone Hr profile, but don’t show the name of the workout, or the stats. Others show only the stats and are missing the name of the workout, or the Hr profile. Honestly, how can you mess this up? Think about what people would like to share— the workout name, the stats, and then perhaps the photo attached to the workout, and/or the hr profile. None of the share options actually display that. One of the share options has the workout name in white, on a white background!! Completely useless. The app load time is fine, and the apps functionality to connect to Bluetooth and display the workout is fine. The workout Hr display is also improved from earlier versions, however it’s still missing some basic options in how the information is displayed. Give us the ability to customize the way our data is displayed on our phone screen during a workout… Things like that are what people would actually use, vs junk on the feed like filtering groups. The app also has a bug that’s been around forever- trying to name workouts is painful at times because the app will slow right down. Typing in the workout name, the app will be so slow that the keyboard will lag. It’s been a bug forever and I’ve even emailed MyZone about it. It probably has something to do with the app remembering the previous workout names, and scanning through them all while you type. Perhaps the app developers are unaware because they haven’t tested it on a profile with many workouts. Ho
