Description

This is the classic tail number search program, but with a twist. This app works in the air, making it the perfect tool for pilots while aviating or at remote airports. The entire FAA registration database (highly compressed) is included in the app - no cell signal or WiFi hotspot needed. And of course, the database can be updated when back on the ground.

No longer updated - stale data

Database is no longer updated. Was a great little app, but it is no longer useful. Please consider updating. I would pay for it.

Nice and useful but database is over a year old

Long time to update.

I echo MCguiver2’s experience except I have owned my airplane now for 17 months and it’s still not updated on their website it. The FAA has had it correct for nine months.

Long time to update ownership changes

I use this app and enjoy it. However, I bought my airplane a year and a half ago and it still hasn’t been updated to show me as the owner. It shows the owner from two years ago. The FAA shows me as the owner, even though that took 11 months to happen. I have the latest update downloaded, so I don’t understand from where you are getting your information and why it lags so far behind the FAA database for ownership.

Bait and Switch

This app jumped the shark . Worked great for over a decade , then for some reason our searches are no longer downloadable which means it’s worthless at this point . Seems developer made his money and then dropped the ball . No updates for over 2 years but removed the only function that made this app stand out above the rest .

It would be nice if you did have the Spirt of St. Louis in the database for at least fun and historic moments.

Add Mode S Code

App as it is, is very useful. I use the app to learn the ‘type’ of airplane nearby when the N number is displayed on my ADSB IN Traffic display. Some aircraft are displayed on traffic display with a call sign other than their N number. Garmin Pilot users can see hexadecimal Mode S Code of traffic. It would be nice if N number app would include hexadecimal Mode S Code display and search. This would allow N number app users to learn the aircraft type on call sign displayed traffic.

Outdated database

Wasted $1 on this. Immediately deleted. Database is out of date.

Database Update????

Does this database even get updated anymore? My plane still shows the old owner from 2021.
