This was a great app that help me understand terminology, stages, theories, ethics, interventions, and all areas within the NCE exam while still using other materials. This app alongside the Encyclopedia of Counseling (purple book; Rosenthal) was a great combination of understanding material. I passed my exam using these tools.

I passed my NCE this week!! I found the questions to be very similar to what you’d find on the NCE. The subscription is worth it. Also consider: 1) NCE Study guide podcast (Glenn Ostlund) 2) Using chatGPT to help write a study guide.
Tip: The Vignettes are going to help you practice reading, deciphering, and answering questions that will be on the NCE. The format of the Vignette questions closely resemble how the test questions will be posed. When you come across a question you got wrong, immediately find whatever book you are using to study to read about the term/topic.
I had a 4 day streak and was really enjoying the app and then on the fifth day it kept telling me to buy the full experience. I have other tools but i started my day with this app to study and move on. Can’t answer 10-15 questions or any. Everything you click bombards you with ads.
This is my first review of any app. This app had some question on the CPCE word for word!!! This app really covers all the content and gives you great feedback. I used this app a week before the test and felt like I had learned as much in a week with this app then a year of studying the purple book. The !!!ONLY!!!reason I did not give it 5 stars is because after i bought a week of the paid version I could not use the free aspect of the app anymore. Anything I touched in the app asked me to paid for the premium version.
Seeing so many positive reviews, I was tempted to try this app for my NCE prep. However, I’m disappointed. I have the Purple Book, and I’ve noticed several conflicting answers between the app and the book. This has made studying frustrating, as I’m unsure which source to trust. I was hoping for a more reliable study tool.
Says you can use it to study for free but that’s a lie cause after a couple of time using it it says I have to pay to use it totally a scam
