Does not work at all. Bought NDI monitor for $10 and it works perfectly, so I know there is nothing wrong with my setup.
Doesn’t discover my cameras… I’m just trying to find the best NDI monitor and can’t even test this one. Other apps work right away so I’m not sure what the problem is, it’s not my network config.
It automatically assumes the port is zero, and it won’t let me change it. This prevents the app from connecting to the camera. Seems like NDI started working on this app, and then stopped before they were done.
Other NDI apps work fine on my iPhone. This one doesn’t find any of my devices. Not sure what the deal is, but it’s not usable for me.
A core part of the NDI protocol is mDNS device discovery. This app either doesn’t do it, or does it wrong. Additionally it directly stole NewTek’s logo, which is not cool. It misleads potential users.
This app connects to nothing. If you enter an IP, it tries port 0 by default. NDI uses port 5961. You can’t configure a port in the app.
I tried looking at my ndi source and nothing shows up and if I enter the IP address it just says error very non useful piece of junk
So, it can’t auto-discover since my cameras are hardwired and my phone is on WiFi. If I enter the camera IP address it connects. I can see the a video stream. But, it won’t control the PTZ, except for Home and presets 1-3. No other preset buttons work and the arrows don’t work. There are no zoom buttons either. Pretty sad that the company that maintains the NDI spec can’t write software to control cameras which follow that spec.
When other viewers work on the same network, this one does not. Tried on both iPhone and iPad. All networking is correct.
