Description

Assemble the dead using different body parts while upgrading your tower, combine the abilities of the different fantastic races to fight your way through the hordes of enemies and overrun the ’chosen ones’. To tell the truth, the dead are pretty, uhm, dumb.
About the Game:
The necromancer, along with his faithful companion, the Cat, finds himself in an unknown world, and tries to find a way to return home. Fortunately, along with the main character, there were also magical tools in this world. Using his knowledge and skills, the Necromancer decided to use the remains scattered around to protect himself from aggressive local creatures and find the blueprints of the ship to escape.
Gameplay:
A mix of strategy and auto battle. The player collects and revives the undead from a variety of remains.
The raised undead fight numerous enemies on their own, explores the map, extracts resources and unique body parts. If necessary, the player can take control of any unit.
Also, the resources found allows you to upgrade the tower both inside the session and between sessions in the hub. The undead are not under the direct control of the player, and the behavior of the created units is regulated by in-game AI. If necessary, the player can take control of the unit, but at the same time it can be done with only one at a time.
Mechanics List:
• Creation of undead – Using the remains collected or obtained at the beginning of the game, the player creates new units with the help of a ritual pentagram, which fall under his control. The player can assemble both a specific unit, for example, an Orc, using only orc body parts, and assemble a hybrid using body parts from different creatures.;
• Tower Upgrades – During the game, the undead pick up resources and blueprints for castle upgrades. Each improvement brings bonuses, for example: increases units features, increases the amount new remains or repairs the castle itself;
• Inhabiting creatures – the player can take direct control of previously created undead by controlling with touching screen. Only one at a time.
• Secret recipes – with a certain combination of body parts of creatures, the player opens a secret recipe. A unit created according to a secret drawing, in addition to basic characteristics, also receives a bonus like increased attack, speed, etc.

Necro-Smith Reviews

Difficult and tedious

Suppose to be tower defense, but your troops run off as soon as you create them or they’re slaughtered if they stay around. No way to repair your tower, so you die within the first few waves.

Good sim fun

(6th update) Finally progressing with finding more plans - just need to keep sending units out to further and further portals. Found on iPad Pro first gen, after a certain number of units have been created, they stop appearing at the bottom because there’s no more screen real estate to the right, which means you can’t give them orders or select them when not running around on screen! (5th update) ok i just realized i had discovered another portal but didn't see it because the Release button is covering up most of the portal button! This is on iphone 15 max pro. Still only found the foundation and scaffolding for the exit. And the plans updater machine in castle doesn't say it's at max level even when it is. Hope you guys (devs) are either working on fixing these or bringing necrosmith 2 to iOS. (4th update - yes i really like the game) ok after the last update, the spell buttons are bigger, so not totally hidden by the island notch. 👍 At this point, my main issue is progression - I've fully upgraded everything in the lab, unlocked all of the portals (i think), discovered numerous recipes all the way up through mechanoid, but only discovered the scaffolding plans for the exit. There's really no information on how to find more of those parts/plans, so I'm not sure what to do? The foundation was found during the tutorial as i remember, and finding the scaffolding plans seemed random. So i don't know how to find more. (3rd update) just got an iPhone 15 (pro max), and the island where the camera and sensors are overlaps the recipes button or the lightning and car buttons depending on which way the phone is flipped - please fix! (End update) (2nd update) please add a way to sell off more than one body part at a time! Gets very tedious when you need to sell 20, 30, 40 etc. parts (end update 2) (Update) In response to the dev’s comment about cloud sync, hopefully you can update it to work across devices (end update) Great simulator with awesome pixel art, sound, music, etc. Would be nice if there was a Guard command rather than simply "stand still", which would make the unit move around a small area (like the castle) to avoid getting hit but not wander off. Also, the item text is really small on phones, and cloud sync isn't working - i uploaded my profile on my phone and tried to download on my iPad - said it was successful, but the profile didn't appear. Fix these two things (syncing and adding the guard command), and I'd give it 5 stars.

Game mechanics are quite good, but can be a bit cumbersome on mobile. Lots of scrolling and small buttons. Biggest bummer for me is cloud save appears to be per-device - some mechanism other than iCloud so I can’t sync progress between devices. Was on the fence on this purchase, but glad I made it.

UI needs addressed

Text is often too small to read easily and some clips the edge of the screen or front facing camera island.

Stuck due to small text and clipped buttons

Buttons / text is too small. Some buttons are cut off the corners of the screen. Stuck on one of the first stages of the tutorial saying “all saved procedures will be listed here”, I either don’t know where to click or the button is off screen. Using the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Has a steep learning curve but once you get it the game is fun

If you need help there are guides on youtube. This is a dope little pc port and definitely worth the money.
