Agree with the above review. After finally getting the app running you are left to restart the process every time you open the app. Stop letting kids build the app and hire a professional.

I unfortunately haven’t had a great experience with NeoCharge. The positive is the smart splitter works once plugged in as described, in terms of switching between a primary and secondary power source when triggered. The downfalls is the app is extremely buggy and does not work properly. Additionally, the splitter will either not connect properly to the 3rd party app they use to connect to wifi, or the 3rd party app is garbage. Which it is I am unsure of. Perhaps the unit itself actually has the issue, not the software. To make matters more frustrating, I have emailed support multiple times for help with no response. If you are wanting the connectivity of the unit and the features of the app as advertised, I would wait for the product to improve or try alternate products. If you’re happy with a subpar customer service experience but in the end the hardware works as described then this product is a fit.

It turns out the reviews here are right. Same process repeated over and over. BLE provisioning succeeds, device visible on my network, but NeoCharge app says “setup required” and doesn’t recognize the device is already on my wifi and has internet. I have no idea how to fix it, and support has been so far unresponsive…..

I have the P7 version of the smart splitter which uses Bluetooth for wifi provisioning via a separate app. Provisioning works fine, I can see the NeoCharge P7 on my network but the app doesn’t seem to find it. When I enter my serial number and configure my setup, the summary page is blank. The app then reports that my device is offline, even though I can ping it on the network. Next time I launch the app I’m prompted to start the whole process over again. I don’t know if the app works with previous generations of the hardware, but it sure doesn’t work on this one at time of writing. At least the app doesn’t automatically delete my account anymore.

I also had the no receipt of verification text from the company. Finally after ironing that out, I was confronted with registration instructions that require a download of two apps that do not work together. IF you are successsful in connecting to wifi under the Espressif app then you are told to return to the Neocharge app and finish the registration. In the Neocharge app you are told to open wifi settings and try and connect to the device, well you can't because that is what you did in the other app. So then if you close and reopen the Neocharge app you have to start the registration process all over again. Welcome to the infinite loop of sadness and frustration of dealing with a product that is far from ready for the public.
