No iPad app

Please develop proper iPad app. Login process is not as smooth as Tailscale.

No Landscape Support? No On-Demand? No Shortcut Integration?

jquintanilla89 on

United States

Being unable to use this app in landscape on iPad is really inexcusable at this point in time. Also needs to add on-demand VPN for both iOS and iPadOS, and/or at minimum integrate into Shortcuts to allow users to create an on-demand VPN themselves. The WG app has this natively, as does Tailscale. Not sure why NetBird is falling behind here. The single star is for the app, not the service itself, which is solid. Unfortunately, the app hampers the ability to enjoy the service.

Very good

But update client version please

App won’t even work

bonedaddy4538 on

As stated app simply doesn’t work at all. I tried on my work android phone and that worked right away after login. This one will successfully log in then go back and be in a connecting state indefinitely. Very disappointing I was hype to try but this is an immediate red flag

Rapidly becoming one of the best.

I’ve been using the self hosted version for a few months now and this team is squashing bugs very quickly! I had a different wire guard solution setup as a backup, but I haven’t had to use that in a month and a half. I rarely write reviews, but I felt the need to give these guys some credit.

Invalid signup?

Not impressed with the idiotic sign up process that doesn’t work. If they can’t even make that work, I can only imagine how secure their platform is.

Horizontal Screen Suppport

This app needs to support iPad in landscape mode. Also when tapping to copy hostnames please provide an option to copy the ip address as well.

A Good Start

J0naru on

As of now, custom DNS servers behind peer relays are not resolving. If you rely on local DNS resolution for internal services your out of luck. Another annoyance is the lack of any logs for the wiregaurd connection making it basically impossible to troubleshoot if the connection isn’t working for whatever reason. All in all a good start as the basic functionality is working for peer to peer connections

dns server

angryYSL on

United States

The custom DNS server is not available and cannot resolve private DNS

Change server does not work

David Gtech on

United States

When changing the server, I get an error that it’s an invalid server address, but the netbird page loads in the browser on the same phone. And yes, I made sure to type in correctly.
