It appears that people who previously paid for full versions, are losing much of their “already paid for functionality” when they update to a more current app version. Read “The most current” reviews yourself. EDIT: I Updated this review from 1 star, to 3 star, because the app really is good (there are “as good” or possibly better). I still don’t like that many people appear affected by some of the functionality limitations or “missing data”, especially after having paid for a “fully functional and unlimited” app, prior to the developer’s decision to go subscription based.
Upgraded from iOS 15 to 17, and now everything is a paid subscription. Shame. Also, none of my SSH profiles, settings or certificates restored from iTunes backup. BE WARNED!
So I originally purchased the full version of this app & all was great but now I have daily quota limits I.e. I am told that unless I subscribe to a monthly fee version I will not have the app? How is this even legal? I honestly demand a full version code or whatever needs to be given me to make my app full version as when I paid it. I did not pay for a partial app. I did not pay for a subscription app. I paid for the full version. Either give me my full version or give me my money back.
This app was perfectly fine, and then they updated it to add arbitrary quotas. Which is silly, all the processing is on device, why are you adding arbitrary quotas for how many scans we can do on the local network.
This was a go-to app for the occasional quick network troubleshooting but at some point recently they turned to a subscription model. There are certainly plenty of alternatives out there that haven't decided to go down this path.

Top review talks about how there’s no better app, paid or free. That was definitely true 5 years ago when the review was written. However, somewhere along the lines, using network utilities became a subscription model? how can it make sense to charge me for more than 10 dns lookups in a day? Truthfully, it may still be the best network utility out there, but as someone who’s not using it for enterprise work, there’s 0% chance I’m willing to be able to pay to use it, and the only time I need most of these tools is when I’m tinkering with the network, so will actually need a nontrivial number of lookups. ETA: I need to acknowledge that the subscription price is by all means reasonable, even for hobbling. However, I’d rather just have ads for something like this. I know devs have to eat, but 4 nslookups is just not realistic.
I give this app 5-stars because I have used it for many years. It is a excellent app. Unfortunately, I will quit using it as it went from free to a subscription model ($1.99 monthly / $19.99 annually). I do pay for apps to support development on my PCs and iPhone but I feel these prices are steep. I feel a one-time price for $19.99 would have been more acceptable than an annual fee at that price. The other very useful App in this category I use a lot is NET-Toolbox. I paid a one time price and it does offer a lot more in the feature set. But I used this network utility because of its minimalist design which I do appreciate. So 5-Stars for a great developed app but I have deleted it due to the recent pricing.
After YEARS of use the developer has taken their app to a scammy subscription model and locked all functionality behind limited daily free usage. I recently upgraded the app and it is now virtually useless. 5 free pings? Pretty useless when you also have to try to diagnose if it is a DNS issue… oh you only get 3 lookups there… and then when you guess a few IPs? Well… wait until tomorrow or… find another app. You cannot buy the app outright. You cannot get grandfathered in… just subscribe for the rare times you need the full set of tools. Way to take a fantastic app and destroy the goodwill and the word of mouth advertising.
