The best but....

Boring UI

Features-wise? Outstanding. UX/UI-wise? Meh.

The app has a lot of amazing features that other music apps don't. Unfortunately, most of them are hard to access because of dated UI with weird design choices.

Outstanding player

Outstanding player with all the bells and whistles EXCEPT for a picky Replaygain feature. Same music file on iPhone registers Replaygain tags, but not on the iPad version. An entire album on iPhone will have correct values, but on iPad only one or two from an entire album will carry values over, ignoring the other files with tags. This is even after removing the files from the device and refreshing the library sources and playlists. This is specific to purchased music from the iTunes Store.
