I subscribe because I want to be able to get the news from my hometown. I’ve moved to Oil City and I can’t even get local tv except the bad news. NC news does carry some good news and I appreciate that! Ty Libby Miller

Obituaries

I used to live in New Castle but moved away about 23 years ago. I check the obituaries a few times a week. I am so old that most of the people in the obituaries are younger than I am. I wish that in the lists of deaths that you would include the maiden names of women in the two or three sentences in the list that is visible before clicking to see the full obituary. I do thank you for allowing people to see a few full obits without a subscription. I seldom see anyone that I know anymore. I really don’t want to pay for a subscription to read just a few obituaries. Of course there is no problem with the men’s names but I wish you would extend the courtesy of having the women’s maiden names listed in the two opening lines.
