New Orleans French Quarter Reviews

New Orleans tour

It was cumbersome to use at first. At times difficult to activate one site adjacent to another. Pictures were helpful. Over-all a decent value. Our professionally guided walking tour was canceled and we decided to try your app. Saved money and liked that we could stop and start the tour. Even relistened to various locations to clarify points of interest. Would recommend.

The app does not continue to play if you switch to another app briefly (camera)or turn off your phone screen to pocket you phone for a bit while walking. It totally drains your battery and you need to walk around with your hand out holding your phone open and on. Otherwise the narration was good and informative.

I love this App. Easy to use and for $10 so much more value than the pre scheduled time scripted tour walks. Stop and restart it at your leisure. Like all GPS devices it does drain your iPhone battery if you use it inefficiently. However a fast charger or recharging your phone during a break for coffee or cocktail can elevate this headache. A big fan

Great way to see the French Quarter!

I used this app with my mom. We each took one of my AirPods to listen and spent the day following the tour at our own pace as we popped into shops. We did a ghost tour later in the evening, and though very good, and we both preferred the ease of this app. The voices and music of the story tellers was spot on. I only wish they had a garden district app too.

Information is useful, delivery is painful. Would probably help if main narrator sounded a little like he’d had a look at what he’s reading before recording. The pirate voice is agony and the female excruciating. For 5$, I’d pass.

Very Thorough & Easy To Follow!

My wife and I recently took a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and didn’t want the hassle of the larger bus tours or being at the mercy of an overpriced tour guide. After reading the positive reviews, we decided to opt for the Self Tour Guide. The bang for your buck is more than worth it. With 40+ different stops, we were able to go at our own pace, revisit a few of our favorite spots, and even take a nice break for lunch without losing a beat. The tour was a comprehensive walk of the French Quarter and included all the major sites (as well as a few hidden gems) but my wife and I will be on the lookout for the Washington DC edition for our trip later this fall!

Worried that we couldn’t keep up with a walking tour, we decided to try this app. We made a great decision! Loved being able to go at our own pace, go off the beaten path, and pick up when and where we wanted. Highly recommended!!
