Font on this app is awful
This is a review of the app, not the magazine. Please, please improve the font and/or font size adjustment. The font style is way to inky and I find it hard to read. What’s worse is the font size adjustment. Small is ridiculously tiny, completely unreadable. Medium small is tiring on the eyes. Medium large and large are ridiculously large. You need a size between medium small and medium large, but font size adjustment does not provide it.
annoyance of new version
the writing, formatting, are great.
but with the current version, if you leave the app (to switch to another, for example, or just return to the "home screen"), when you return to the app, you get the "splash screen", more delay, and finally back to the article you were reading, but *not* to the place in the article.
please fix!
A great magazine deserves a great app
The NS needs to invest in a better iPad user experience. At the moment, it works fine, but it’s not great. It’s bit clunky and doesn’t support gestures or anything like a normal app, eg Washington Post or NYtimes, etc.
New Stateman
The app for NA is not very functional....
Topical Current Affairs Magazine
If you want a left of centre magazine that keeps you up to date with cultural and political affairs in the UK - look no further than this weekly magazine.
Amazing Magazine/App!!
The New Statesman Magazine is a wonderful weekly magazine!! I love the content!! I used to read The Spectator and The Telegraph Newspaper but they are way too conservative for this independent! I'm a US citizen in California, but my top newspaper is The Guardian, then I love the New Statesman!! The app works really well, and the content is spot one. I only wish the app had a dark theme!! Other than that, great work to the Editors and Journalists of this fine magazine!!
Opposing views
I've been reading "The Spectator" for many years and have been disillusioned by its support for Trump. It's good to have a magazine that doesn't kiss Trumps Orange posterior.
beware you're getting the issue you want
There are two issues with Russell Brand on the cover. The one he guest-edited is the October issue. But the November issue also has him on the cover. Do you think they meant to get accidental purchases of the wrong one?
