Wouldn’t allow me to book empire states building via app
2 problems I had was
1) the big bus tour was very poor quality compared to other company’s I have used in past , no actual live person tour guide plus the pass only allows for 1 day of use so never had time to do both downtown and uptown
2) spent the whole time trying to pre book Empire State Building to view and the app has been down the whole time which didn’t allow to book , so me and my family have had to pay again and turn up instead!
Unable to make reservations
I bought 4 adult 2 day passes
Downloaded the app and synced passes
They are visible in the app ✅
Tried to make my first reservation - Empire State - directed to website - website says maintenance at the moment so can’t book❌
If I visit the Empire State website not through the App I can book a time but can’t say I have passes and instead they are asking for payment 😡
I can’t even contact anyone

Fantastic app & service
Having a brief holiday in NYC, we bought the City Pass for three days for my three person family. Not cheap, but we’ve more than had our money’s worth.
Other than having to book ahead/make reservations for Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, we’ve simply turned up at One World Trade Observatory, Circle Line, Top of the Rock etc and presented the QR codes in the pass in exchange for tickets and entrance there and then. The app was also useful in checking opening times, map locations etc.
If one is only wanting to do one or two attractions, it may be cheaper to pay for those individually & separately. For anyone wanting to do most/all of the most popular tourist attractions then the New York City Pass can be fantastic value for money with a very useful app.
Difficult
Far too difficult to use wish we had never bought it. Can’t book tours easily, want payment up front
Spent days and days trying to sort it no one available to help.

DONT BUY
Very limited choice of pre bookable stuff you really want to do in NYC. The customer service is non existent via their website contact form, email addresses, WhatsApp phone number or in the app.
Easy to use and hassle free
These passes have been a life saver really easy to access and excellent value for money
Complete rubbish
No help during the pandemic, stole our money and refused to refund. When there is a travel ban to most countries a refund should have been offered. Don’t trust this company to help you.
Pass
My pass was purchased but then covid hit, trip was cancelled, although the date was extended on the pass they will not give me a refund. There’s absolutely no way that I can/will travel to America. Gutted I’ve lost approximately £200.
App doesn’t reflect Passes extended
NYpass claimed to extend passes by additional 12 months but the App just says passes expired
Covid - no response or refund for pass
The service is shocking not received an acknowledgement or update if this pass will be refunded, extended till Dec 2022 as per my flights or an alternative!
Cone on people respond to your customer the service is shocking!
