Since the latest update I can’t see any of my mortgage information on the app. Just discovered when I went to make a payment today. Please fix this asap!

Good luck getting a customer service rep who knows that they are talking about. I’ve spent the last 3 months trying to cancel my PMI. Whenever I call, it takes ten minutes to get through the automated messaging system to actually speak with a rep. That person is then instantly confused and transfers me. Eventually someone has the courage to say they are clueless and can’t answer my question. Two months ago I paid for an appraisal to remove my PMI - no one can even tell me where that is at in the process now. Did it get denied? Is it being reviewed? Will I get a copy? Basic questions that cannot be answered by Newrez. Pathetic.

So tired of this app updating every time and you need to login again

Recently had my mortgage purchased by Newrez. I’ve tried on the app and website to set up auto pay and it keeps glitching/wont move after I hit “continue”. Never understood why it can be so difficult to just make payments with some companies. Would not recommend Newrez to anyone

It works for what it is. I use it to pay my mortgage. It doesn’t make any calculations to the amortization schedule if I make extra payments on the principle. It also doesn’t give me a clear idea what would happen if I were to pay every other week instead of monthly (goal is to get rid of the mortgage, not accidentally not pay enough based on timing). But the payments go through in a timely fashion.

When it works it’s fine, but if it glitches and decides to not charge for both your payment and extra toward principal like you chose and just does the extra toward principal. They will charge you the late fee and won’t negotiate a courtesy removal. Even if you have never had a late fee before or ever asked for an adjustment and been a customer for many years. Their customer service is the absolute worst, any communication is a nightmare. So if you never need anything different and triple check everything went through properly and didn’t glitch then the site is fine. You find a glitch too late or need help with anything, good luck!

I have to sign in, before the app forces me to update, only to have to sign-in again. Not usable on the go.

Newrez app is good as well as there webpage. I remember reading how bad they were when I first got them and was worried but I have yet to have a terrible experience with them. They have been good and communicative for me and my house mortgage.

App required update 9/28/24. After update, does not work at all. Just says please wait with rotating dots indicating attempt to connect. Maybe do the minimum of QA before releasing an update! Luckily, was able to make payment using website. *Update* as of developer fix and response, the app appears to be functioning normally.
