How do I get rid of the dreadful opening noise? News on 6 has been my go to app for news and weather. But this ridiculous and distracting noise will send me to another local news app.

If you like watching 30 second commercials and then the news video you wanted to see fails to load and all you get is a black screen about 70% of the time then this is the app for you! Maybe they should quit using college interns to produce their social media content and hire some professionals!!!!

Half the time it doesn’t load! I’ve deleted and reinstalled and still doesn’t work. But the advertising works every time!!!

(Update: I received an email explaining how to turn off the sound and I changed it to 3 stars instead of 1. In my opinion, the opening sound provides no value to the user and should be turned off by default.) I don’t know why you made it so the app plays a loud noise when you open it. Now I can’t open the app in public without muting my phone. And if I have my volume up, it’s loud enough to scare the daylights out of me. I’ve always preferred to get my news from Channel 6 but I can’t handle the racket.

That’s absolutely ridiculous and I certainly can’t open the app during the day when at work!

This app is terrible now. I use to listen yo it every morning on my walk but within the last two or three months all I hear is the A-Best commercial and then it goes black. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it does not. I downloaded another local news app this morning.

Hate the new app. Sooooooo many ads just to open. Used to have a good thing. Bye

I use this app for local news and trust the stories to be well reported and journalistically ethical, which is what’s most important to me. But whoever edits the stories for grammar, spelling etc. can and should do better.

Why you thought anyone would want the live news to open automatically at the top of the homepage every time you open the app is beyond me. If I wanted to watch the live news, I would do that.

This app desperately needs Picture in Picture!! Also the same stories are always repeated while scrolling through.
