NEXIT

I’m in Bremerton, WA and the app says I’m outside of the United States.

First use, and what I see is this. Needs to be able to show alternate routes to a destination. Needs to be able to avoid certain things: hightways, tolls etc. Needs CarPlay integreation

This is the reason I’ll continue to use Waze. I can’t be tapping my phone while driving. It’s both dangerous and illegal in California.

I used Nexit on a trip today for the first time. Just some first impressions: 1. It would be nice to be able to change the zoom on the map. Once I pinch out, it reverts to the too small view in a moment. I can’t see the darn thing! 2. I got to my destination (using Maps) and reopened Nexit, it showed my current location but said that I was outside of the United States. (Trust me, I know that I am not)

Unless I missed a menu or two, there seems to be zero support for finding EV charging stations during navigation.

What really like is the ability to pick out what I at an exit. Then let the app work. It lets you know which exit has the hotel, food and stores one is looking for.

This is an attractive app with a cool interface, but it will remain useless to me in the real world until it is CarPlay compatible. I was told a year or two back that CarPlay compatibility was coming soon. What happened to that? Even more disappointing, I just did a search of the services at an interstate exit near me and found the data to be way out of date. Sorry, but Nexit is starting to seem like “abandonware.”

How can I get this to work thru carplay??
