Description

Suggestions for the next chord in your progression are based on a machine learning algorithm trained on over 10,000 songs. You can use your phone's microphone to recognize the chord that you are playing, and new suggestions will appear. As you build your progression you can change tempo, instrument, and the number of repeats. You can hear any chord and see its diagram on guitar or piano. When you are all done, you can share a progression or save it for later.

Great but missing chords

This is a very useful tool for working out progressions, I just wish it had augmented chords

Very helpful

Love everything about this app. I like the chord diagrams but one thing annoys me, the fret numbers are so small I have a very hard time reading them. If they made the fret numbers larger that would help me. Is it just me?

Good not bad

The app should have an option to input the specific notes you were playing on your instrument via a chord, chart or diagram. Similar to a reverse cord search. The app should also have some thing that listens to your Hall Chord progression so we can identify what key you are in. also, the manual search for a specific cord is oddly displayed - when I type in a letter of a cord, it should first show results for the corresponding cord, but what it does instead is display in alphabetical order, all chords with that character in it. So if I type in a capital A then the search results display C chords first that have an A in the name. So that’s pretty lame. Lastly, the app uses my microphone to pick up what chords I am playing - it shoul understand the inversion and the position since it can hear the order of the pitches from lowest to highest. I want my cord progression to reflect the inversion and position when I tap on the displayed chords afterward. And I don’t want to hear a full six note chord if I’m only playing three notes for a given cord. Lotta ways to improve this app, but it’s not a bad app. Period. Next cord and hook theory should call one another and make an app together.

This is invaluable. Figuring out chord possibilities takes a lot of learning, and there is always more than you could ever think of available. This helps put it all immediately at your fingertips. You just take the chords and run, or do your analysis afterwards to see why it works and why you do/don’t like it.

App lacking for people with creative thought

Doesn’t allow me to pick chords like them around the mixolydian mode or chords that are outside the normal scale so in that sense the app isn’t that good

Need improvements

Not good enough

Awesome! Wish I could listen with AirPods.

Great app! The only reason I took a star off is because it disconnects from Bluetooth and so the person next to me hears me playing the chords. Wished it didn’t disconnect from Bluetooth.

Very Nice

Helpful with making professions. Suggestions are essential. Wish you could also preview the chords when replacing them as you can sequencing them. Great app, nonetheless.

Lack of Bluetooth headphone support

lettorino on

Great app and I really do like it but it doesn’t seem to be able to work with Bluetooth headphones, it will always default to playing out of the speaker or headphone jack which makes it difficult to use on the go
