I search for and find the school I want, then the app displays games for other schools with similar names across the US. It also does not use my locality to improve the search. Also get different game availability between web and app versions.
Haven’t been able to watch a full game yet. First one cut off the ending. Now it’s delayed. Just go watch it!
This service allows us to watch a lot of local school teams without having to travel and breaking the bank. That’s great. Some negatives: - biggest annoyance in the app is when you get to your school screen the “favorite” button is always in focus instead of the first video. So you may constantly be asked to confirm unfollowing your team. - camera isn’t always following the action correctly (I get it, this is tough and probably always improving) - scoreboards that are completely LCD blow out the scoreboard image. Don’t know how prevalent this is - sometimes the wrong gym is shown. So you only get an empty gym or, one time, you see a team during their practice.
The app has a filters feature (gender, sport, state, date range), but it resets each time you close the app. Resetting the filters requires about 20 seconds of work each time you open the app. Incredibly irritating.
It’s soooooo frustrating to find the games and really really hard to get it to work correctly!
The fact that you can’t view a sporting event on two different devices from the same IP Address is insane. I want to watch the game on two different devices at home and I can’t do it because of NFHS’s ridiculous programming.
I would only pay for this if you are desperate to watch a game - and then I’d give it further thought. And I would not sign up for the year. Pay for a month then cancel. The camera work is bush league. It’s worse than sitting in the worst seat in a massive stadium. Just a sub-par product and presentation.
App is iffy. No sound, it lags, cameraman is not proficient.
You never know if the game you are trying to watch will actually be on. More often than not there are technical difficulties and you aren't able to watch the game, which is so disappointing for grandparents and parents who pay a lot of money for this app. Also, the sound track they use for basketball games on demand has people swearing on it- so annoying. Update: now the search function doesn't work properly, when you search a school and click on it, results for other schools are shown. Paying too much this app for so many problems.
My filters reset after each use, kinda pointless.
