We have been using this app for about a week now with a newly installed Mighty Mule gate and it has performed flawlessly so far.
I have to pair this app almost daily. I am pretty tech savvy and have great wifi and this app crashes constantly! It is horrible and I do not recommend it at all. It is very unreliable and we just use our clickers now. I’m so sorry I spent the extra money to get the app and the control box.
This app works perfectly for my driveway gate, and it integrates nicely with Alexa. The only thing that’s a little frustrating is that there is no “open and hold” option. I have my gate set to automatically close after being open for two minutes. However, sometimes I want to prop it open for longer than that, such as when I have someone coming by to give me a quote or perform a service in my backyard. I can do that with the physical remote, but that requires that I be home at the time. If I’m controlling the gate from off-property, I have no choice but to sit there and keep reopening the gate after each time it auto-closes. I would love to have “open,” “open and hold,” and “close” commands on the app when setting up a driveway gate.
The release of this app shows the dedication to the success of the product. Would love to have a few more features added in future releases, such as ability to open and leave open rather than having to physically visiting gate with a remote or turning system off after gate is open. Would also be extremely handy to have the app certified for inclusion in Apple Car play so you don’t have to fumble with phone when pulling up to gate
The app works great most of the time however at the most inconvenient times it shows offline. I still get notifications when someone opens or closes it but because the app is offline I can’t control the gate when we’re away. I’ve written this same review in the past and I figured I’d wait for an update since there are many reviews with the same complaints. I thought it was fixed but two days ago it happened again, luckily I was home so I did the re-pairing process before we left. Sporadically app shows offline but notifications still work, next day it’s back online. Come on techs, what’s going on?
It’s nice to be able to control my entry gate from a long distance. However I wish the app had more functionality like an open/close schedule, disable feature, etc.
We thought this unit would work perfectly for us and it did for only the first three months! Then it began to fail it won’t open apparently moisture gets in the arms prevent it from working and we have to continually reset the unit every time we leave or enter the property very displeased!!
App says disconnected but device light is green on my end. This has happened 5 times since i bought it a week ago. There is clear line of sight and i even increased the power level to medium. Good thing I added a key pad for entrance and wireless vehicle sensor to exit otherwise id be stuck. The app seems to be the issue. Very unreliable.
