Description

Perform real night vision with just your iPhone!
NightVision uses the infrared FaceID camera to see in total darkness. The camera works within a range of 10 feet and can see objects that are invisible to the human eye.
TECHNOLOGY
NightVision uses a technology called TrueDepth, which is what enables Apple's FaceID. The TrueDepth Camera uses an infrared emitter to project over 30,000 dots in a grid pattern that are recorded by an infrared camera. This information is used to calculate spacial depth "pixels". NightVision processes this spacial depth information into a color gradient, thus exposing the geometry of a scene without visible light.
DEVICE REQUIREMENTS
•NightVision requires a device with FaceID
•NightVision requires ARKit
NOTES
•NightVision works with just the front-facing selfie camera. We are working on a future version that will use the rear-facing LIDAR available on some Apple devices.
•NightVision does not detect infrared heat signatures

Ok decided to give it a try on the new 12 pro max......yes.... it’s TOTALLY useless all I see is green/black pixelated images and iam unable to see anything in the dark just my silhouette .maybe the lidar scanner can improve the quality but I doubt it. I won’t request a refund just to see if lidar will be better hopefully soon.

No rear camera support yet for 12 Pro (Max)

Can only use the front facing camera. Which makes actually SEEING in the dark in front of you. LOL

Nope

Have an iPhone 11 Pro with Face ID camera, and the quality in true dark is beyond useless. There is no good app out there for this unfortunately.

Very cool

One of the most interesting uses of augmented reality I have seen. This uses the infrared FaceID camera to render objects in 3D with no external light source. You can see things in the dark that would be invisible with a normal camera. Can’t wait to see this on the rear-facing camera with newer iPhones.

Its a scam
