NIOSH Sound Level Meter

Looks simple and intuitive to use but I have not yet worked out how to save data for future use - maybe I am a slow learner. Otherwise all sweet. Peter aged 76.

App crashes as soon as it tries to access the mic. iPhone 12. Runs ok without mic access but what’s the point.

Pretty cool for free app but you can only save to device rest doesn’t work on iPad or iPhone

- -:- - keeps popping up. Had to delete the app. Will try to download it again later and see how it works…. Update: Creator contacted me and informed me how to fix the issue. Easy to do. Now, if I have any issues, I know what to do. 5 Stars

very useful, seems accurate, easy to use, two problems/recommendations; when i’m recording a measurement and leave the app, even after pausing it, when i come back to NOISH that measurement is wiped. additionally it would be very helpful to be able to use all the apps on my phone during a measurement especially say, spotify because i am trying to gauge whether i am listening to music at a healthy volume but if i want to do that i have to play the music from my ipad while i measure with my phone which is a hassle.

App will not report dose or TWA; using an iPhone 14 Pro.

The data is easy to collect, but I am a retired 85-year-old certified safety, professional, and not familiar with the current definitions above and beyond the basic noise level. I would like to enter this information into my Apple Health app.

It takes very accurate sound measurements, but from time to time the app will stop displaying the current db reading and show a blank - -.- reading. I hope this can be fixed in the next update. Otherwise a very useful app.
