NJ.com Reviews

Impossible to login

Recently subscribed but every time I entered my user name and password it kept saying incorrect although I could log in on one desktop based browser. Also appeared like my one year subscription was tied to a single browser on a single desktop. Don't know if anyone else has had these issues. This is an example of negative data, meaning nj.com or others could never assess the true cost of losing interested customers to these problems since they have no way to know who didn’t subscribe. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that the widget still gives updates, and I won’t say the significance of that. Obviously it’s nj.com’s loss not mine losing a paying customer. Somehow I suspect this might have to do with ad blockers or some other kind of ridiculous requirements like cookies or other intrusions that have gotten way out of hand with companies relying on advertising dollars. Another small example of the fall of humankind on earth due to its stupidity.

This app makes me laugh…

I know everyone is trying to make money. But whenever I get notified of a story and I click to read it, it’s a story that requires the paid service. Again I know everyone is trying to make money but when you have important news stories they should be free. Plus if it’s a big story all I have to do is go onto the internet and search the story and get it for free. 🤷

Ad Loads Kill Performance

If you want an app that loads like a webpage over a 56k modem, this is for you! And you have to pay to access the content!?! I don’t know what happened here, it wasn’t like this previously, but it’s unusable for me.

NOT WORTH IT

Dor on NJ on

This app is not worth the subscription of $99. annually. It constantly freezes or closes. Do some serious meaningful updates to this app. You are begging for subscribers, but deserve none.

Marginal at Best

ScootandUkeDude on

I tolerate it because it’s local news. However, anything they view as possibly interesting is placed behind a “pay-wall” and the App constantly freezes my, up-to-date and 90% empty, iPad. Extremely frustrating.

When u buy a subscription u should Be able to read subscriber exclusives I can’t

Horrible

Nell0912345 on

Lots of unchecked facts. So many stories of people being mugged or attacked however those stories never make it to print. With that being said if there’s a story that has the slightest tone of possible racism then it makes it to print. Left wing garbage!!!!!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Do not subscribe! You will never be able to cancel. I tried to cancel and have spent weeks trying but they continue charging my card.

Please stabilize app

Dor on NJ on

App always freezes & you can’t scroll. Very annoying. Please read the lastest reviews of your app & take note. I may stop subscribing because it awaits freezes. No other news apps that I subscribe to does this!

Not worth trying

Peachrex on

United States

A bit expensive for the quality. And if you don’t pay or think you’re unlikely to pay a hefty subscription then don’t bother trying the app. You can’t read any articles and you can read most of the articles on other news sites or online but not through this app
