A good concept, but it’s main purpose is an advert delivery platform.
The game itself is fantastic. It’s an excellent puzzle concept that’s right up my street. The execution however, falls flat.
When I started, I’d get an ad every couple of levels or so. Then it became after every level. Now, if I get a challenge (four puzzles in one), I’m guaranteed to watch at least three ads, perhaps more. This not only spoils the flow of the game, but the way the ads are presented means that there are multiple actions required to dismiss them, including dismissing the App Store page of the game that’s being advertised.
The one that’s really taken the cake and prompted this review though, is that I’m now getting ads mid-level if I lose a life (make a mistake).
I understand that ad revenue allows these games to be “free”, and app developers use a third party ad-delivery solution, but this feels far past the limit of what should be acceptable.
With these apps, the game itself is the secondary function; they’ve just become platforms for constant advertising and it’s become infuriating
Performance ruined by update
Loved his app until the most recent update. Seems to be lagging now and causing me to make mistakes as I'm moving too quick for the game to respond. Not sure what's happened as this was a 5* game for me before but is not longer responsive enough to keep up with user actions
Fab game, irritating ads
Fab game, very addictive however the frequency and length of the ads is VERY irritating - often I’ve filled in one square and the ads appear - I’ve come close to deleting the app at times because of the ads!!
Too many adverts
Game is great, but whilst playing the expert level I was interrupted 3 - THREE! Times with adverts - in a single level! That’s just ridiculous and very greedy on behalf of the developers. No one needs that many ads… take them out of in level and it’s great.
Too many ads
Takes longer to watch ads than play a board. Greedy developer
Bug showing rows as incomplete
I only use “x” to mark a star that lands on an “empty” space, but when I do it on a completed row said row then shows as incomplete. This is causing confusion and a fair bit of frustration.
It WAS perfect
I think this has been the best nonogram game, played it for ages now. I recently started the expert level, up to now, there has been no ads played as a restart, i thought great, understandable as it is way more complicated, but today all of a sudden the 30 second ads appear! Totally ruined the game. Sorry, im gone.
New Update
After the new update the Daily Challenges are not challenging in any way.
They are 4 sections of very low level and do not add up to anything in particular. I will continue to play some of the events but will not continue with tha daily puzzle until it regains some variety of challenge
Always bugs out
This is good but the amount of times it changes to ’X’ is bad im getting it right but i look at the bottom and its ’X’ not ’🟫’
Title
Not sure how to complete a daily challenge with four 15 x 15 grids and only 3 lives. Seems unnecessarily harsh. Just seems like a scheme to get you to watch more ads.
