Best npc generator i have found. Well worth the $2 dollars. Heck i would have spent double that. What makes it worth it is to export out to xml for VTT’s like encounter plus. My only complaint is not being to change the name, but I can work around that.
The filters now work and so this has become much more useful!
I paid for the platinum level so I could use the filters but the filters tab does not work.
I purchased the highest premium level so I could generate 20th level NPCs. Clicking filters does nothing. I’ve restored purchases and still nothing… also, there does not appear to be a way to EDIT what was created.. at the moment it looks like your stuck with what is generated.
The app crashes every time I select a new generated character.
I would love to use this app, but it crashes at random, sometimes even when just opening the app. I’ll try again and change my rating if the crashes stop.
I’m running this app on both my iPhone 12 as well as my iPad. In both cases, it works well up and to the point that you try to use any filters. As soon as you tell the app that you want a particular race, level or challenge rating it will crash and reload, losing anything you were doing. It only successfully generates a character one out of 10 times. If the crash issue could be fixed, this could easily be a five star app.
My app is constantly crashing and I can barely use it. Really disappointed seeing as I have purchased the platinum version.
Need a quick random NPC? This is a great solution. You can even generate several and save them for later. Also, the developer replies to these reviews, so if you have a problem, don’t hesitate to contact them!
As a fairly new DM running a custom campaign, NPCs are a pain to come up with, especially on the fly. Once i got the app I almost immediately got the platinum version (what a steal at so cheap!) and haven't looked back. It's great at what it does, and helps a ton to figure out what kinda person that merchant is going to be. That being said, I hope the app continues to grow and become more in the future. It has some issues still, but for a small developer making this app, I love supporting it and I'll happily use it in my games.
