Buyer beware

Not user friendly. Doesn't work. Nothing downloaded. Horrible look

Doesn't sort by read/unread

What is does it does well but the reason I bought it was to sort read and unread mail or sort by "marked" status. The lack of sorting ability in the iPad mail app is one of the things that keep the iPad a toy instead of a tool. I was hoping npad would be the answered. I would have posted this to the company instead of this public post if there was a away do do that but the product support link goes to a website without contact info.

It's OK - it sync's, but needs some cleanup

I downloaded this so I could have the synchronization function I had with my old Windows Mobile phone on my POP3 account. This app does what it says in that regard. However, it doesn't have intelligent word wrapping as it breaks words wherever it happens to be at the screen edge. No documentation or support link found to explain configuration options. No radio buttons to delete from server as showen in graphic #3 above. With some cleanup this could be a nice app and fill a real need.

Fast, Basic, And Simple, What iPhone Mail Should Be ;)

When I saw this app, I was a little skeptical because there were not many reviews. I decided to give it a shot since I was so desperate in looking for a good mail app for my iPhone 4s. nPop does exactly what they are advertising. It is a simply just a rock solid Pop mail app. You can create multiple accounts, read mail and delete mail right on the server, and it has nice features for editing. One of the big things for me is "Read All". I get a lot of email over multiple email accounts and the ability to simply set all incoming messages with a "Read All" switch is a time saver. This app is now my main email client for all of my many Pop mail accounts. If you are simply looking for a rock solid simple email app for pop mail, this is the app that you will want. nPop saved me time which for me is real money. Areas for improvement: If anything, maybe customize signatures, auto reply for certain emails and or email accounts and some minor UI tweaks. Outside that, leave it alone. It works perfectly as a solid pop mail app. Thank you Nakashima Tomoaki for doing what Apple would not do. ;)

Adequate, but missing functionality of the PC/WM version

gjcoram on

I've used the Windows Mobile (and PC) version of a program called nPOP (and one called nPOPuk, based on nPOP), and the WM version is a lot more capable than the iOS version. You can't send messages with the iOS version; there's no way to "mark" a message for later deletion or download (by default, nPOP downloads only the top lines of the message), so my e-mail provider locked me out for too many logins in a certain time period. The support page is Japanese only.

Excellent alternate e-mail checking and reading application

Nevermind that nPOP 1.4 appears dated compared to many apps. I took the plunge and must say it's a solid and well working program with many features not available in the built-in iPhone mail app like header display alternatives, source.. There is even logging of the pop server connections for each server setup in nPOP. Also are custome port number, SSL and authentication options for each server profile. It will allow sending / replies and msg forwarding if you have an email account setup and active for the native mail app. nPOP does not handle smtp mail sending on it's own. Very impressed and glad to know the $2.99 has been well spent!

Very pleased!

I was having so much trouble setting up my email from my new job. My iPhone would only send and couldn't receive my messages!? So I searched pop3 and found this. I was very excited when the app started showing me all the emails I had! I can't wait till the send feature is added. Thank you! This is a great fix for me :)
