Pretty Good…

SDJNY on

I just got the app today and purchased the entire upgrade. I am able to play and read all books. The audio is good. I purchased the hardcover study NRSV Bible fully revised and updated but I’m not sure if this app is updated as well but it’s still worth it to me to use during church services. I love the side by side comparison with the KJV. Totally worth $9.99 to me.

Bookmark feature does not work usefully

dvdserverman on

United States

The bookmark feature does not fully work. The mechanism is you highlight a piece of text you want to "bookmark", and then tap the bookmark symbol. To retrieve a bookmarked highlighted verse, goto the menu > bookmarks and you can visual see all your bookmarked versus. However it does not matter which of these you touch, you are always bought back to the last verse you bookmarked. Also it seems impossible to clean up or delete the older bookmarks if they are on the same page.

Even a pastor is right here

bjshelkey on

This app is terrible. It’s bad enough that it’s peddling magic thoughts. Even further, it seeks to take advantage of the lesser minded folk. I guess it’s par for the course and this app has read the book it’s representing. Avoid this app. But I must give credit where credit is due, these people have read the teachings and are killing it. Give me your money… if you want something you need to pay for it, especially if it’s salvation… have faith in the product prior to your purchase. The parallels are endless and so enjoyable. Tip to future purchasers: make an effort to use this but don’t pay the scam… even it it’s a scam justified by the book it sells. Kisses Instead. Get “Bible” it has Holy Bible on the cover of the book app. This one will allow you to download the NRSV and read it without requiring 10% of your income.

Don’t bother

Don’t bother downloading. Won’t let you read a word without requiring a paid upgrade.

Prepare to pay

Only get the 1st page free. Everything else I clicked on wants money. Sad.

Very Disappointed!!!

Tiki613 on

No where does it says that I would have to pay in order to read this Bible. Only after I downloaded it to my device and I tried to read a passage did a pop up informed me that I would have to pay to open a book. I am deleting from my device...

Disappointed Pastor

UpsetFB Fan on

I should’ve paid attention to other negative feedback about this app before paying for it. I guess it’s my trusting spirit as a pastor to have grace and give this app a chance. However, line the experiences of others, all I could get was the first chapter of Genesis, and the app would not open other scripture texts without asking me to upgrade. I paid for the upgrade, and then it still wouldn’t open other scriptures without making another upgrade to include audio. Why in the heck do I need audio? I can read, and know my scriptures since I was a child. I just wanted to have a NRSV Bible on my phone device since that’s the version I needed and use, and because this app was the only NRSV Bible could find. If you want the NRSV translation, DO NOT GET THIS APP! Just go online, and do a search for NRSV Bible online. Use the Bible gateway website to do scriptural searches. There’s also no cost. I’m disappointed for the fraud played on me as a pastor. Consider my $2.99 as a donation to your scam. Shameful, simply shameful!

Not happy

I downloaded this app on my phone and paid the $2.99 “upgrade”. When I tried to open the same app on my iPad, it wanted me to pay again. Not going to. This seems like a scam to me.

Awesome!

I have had this app for a couple years now. I paid for the audio and its great. The time and effort that was put into the audio is apparent and is just excellence. I bought an actual nrsv bible to read along and its spot on. I thinks its great and well worth the cost! Thank you!!!
