I started using this app a couple of years ago as a first time investor. I wouldn’t say I’ve learnt that much since but I’ve been able to successfully invest while using this app. It clearly shows the trends of funds and individual stocks and how your money moves up/down. Very well designed app
Avoid
Joined and they gave me £10 as a joining bonus, tried to purchase a stock to get a feel for the app, later logged on to find no money and no investments in account. Very very glad I didn’t put any of my own money in, if they just randomly wipe people’s accounts clearly not a company to be trusted. I will be deleting this app.
Was really good until the App stopped working a few weeks ago. It stops at the log in screen and doesn’t allow you to go any further.
The app looks great and in the main works ok but the journey is quite clunky and unintuitive. The app also often crashes so you have to delete, reinstate and start again which is just painful. However the customer service is fab (thank you Andrea)
On the 24th of April I changed my bank details in the app and did a withdrawal. The app even had me confirm the money would be going into the new details before it was sent. It doesn’t arrive in my account so I email customer service who says their 3rd party payment provider sent the money to my old account. I then wait a week and do another withdrawal and after waiting 12 days I’m told the money was again sent to my old account. Incompetent staff.
Excellent app, easy to install, use, communicate with customer service and deposit/withdraw your funds. Highly recommend
Terrible! I place orders to learn a day later they’re still pending and the price I thought I sold it at is still pending. Customer service gets back to you hours later. If I place a tenner on a investment why is it only investing £9.96??? Tried to withdraw my money and it won’t let me, tells me I have no money! Very Shifty and not in real time. Very disappointed in what looked like a good platform . Avoid avoid avoid
As said it’s not a bad first time investment app, Wombat is increasingly adding more stocks and shares to the platform which is nice. However, there are several bugs that happens quite often with this app. Particularly around the watch list and also sometimes when I try to login it wouldn’t load my portfolio at all. So I’m just stuck in the login page. Hopefully someone can resolve this quickly because one thing to promote new stocks or prompt us via email , but when we can’t actually use the app then it’s a bit useless 😅
