Odesi Chords Reviews

Not a bad app, could be great

jabberwalkit on

1st: the ui has some issues. I thought the in app 4.99 purchase price was to unlock the program. Instead it only unlocked the drums. I had to separately unlock midi export and something else, I think bass. When exporting, the save button is in the top right and white and it blends with the window color. I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to save the file and Almost deleted the app. 2nd. The midi export only captured the chord line and drums, not the bass. Pretty disappointing.

Amazing to scratch ideas

It is awesome to get some ideas but need improvement and more options

Do easy to use!

Eriptron on

United States

This is so easy, it stays out of the way while you quickly get a tune together for later development. Exporting using Files. Plenty of ‘variety’ of sounds to actually be a useful choice, not just sounds, but sounds with a purpose.

Great App - would love MIDI OUT in addition to export

OmarMetwalli on

in addition to exports midi out would allow for controlling external hardware and streamlining workflow!

Awesome but overpriced

SilverSeven37 on

Yeah it’s definitely cool but, the upgrades are way overpriced. To upgrade this entirely costs more than the computer version which is much more powerful. Each upgrade should be .99 or 2.99 tops! 4.99 is insane!

Not happy

Bought the full version but the iPad version does not recognise it so need to buy more things to export to midi.

Super easy to use

Rjshama on

United States

It’s one of the quickest ways to generate midi tracks that I’ve come across. It’s well thought out and generates chords, bass, and drums in about 2 seconds. There are a nice selection of progressions and rhythms that are easy to select. It would great if this offered a melody line too, like the full blown Odesi does, but that is not a big deal to me. I bought the midi export feature and I will just drag the midi into Studio One to work on melodies there. If the desktop version was as easy to use as this, I would have kept that too.

Where’s the “Save” button?

TheKindness on

I really enjoy using Odesi, because it’s a quick simple and quick tool for creating melodic ideas. And exporting MIDI is really cool. However, when I try to export a project, after selecting the export location on my iPad, no “Save” button appears! So I work around that by simply choosing “Save to Documents.” Hopefully, Odesi will be upgraded soon to work with iPad 14+.

Freezing during export

What'swiththenicknames? on

I have the latest app,iOS,and iPhone and trying to export my midi after purchase. The app just freezes up and you have to close out the entire app. It doesn’t matter how many times I try. I just wanted my money. Thank you.
