Description

What might a turn-based StarCraft look like? What if you had a complex multiplayer strategy game in your pocket that you could pick up and put down whenever, wherever? Join us on a journey of discovery.
While Odokonia was inspired by StarCraft, you will find that it has its own unique flavor - complete with its own collection of units you've never seen before. We'd like to think we took some of the best elements and condensed them into a cozy turn-based mobile game. The game can be played in singleplayer or multiplayer and has endless replayability - thanks to our sophisticated procedural generation algorithms.
For a limited time only, this game is currently completely free to play - without any ads or in-app purchases.
Here are some unique offerings
1. Turn-based combos: Think about splitting your turn up into "time slices" (called "roll order" in-game) from 0 to 10, and different unit's actions happen at guaranteed different times. Combine that with the idea that you can schedule actions to happen after other actions and you have a recipe for time-saving, epic combos.
2. Multi-day multiplayer - Odokonia is unlike many other games in that each multiplayer game is designed to be played over many days. By default, players in multiplayer games have 24 hours to take each turn. This means that Odokonia plays like a "pocket game", you take your phone out once a day when you have time and play a round. You can also join and play many different games at the same time for more excitement
3. Because the developer (apparently?) hates his personal life, he also decided for some reason to pioneer turn-based naval battles. Units can perform actions inside transport ships, which means you can build a turret on a single hex island off the side of a boat or board an enemy island like a pirate with thumpers flying out of boats. Just be careful because if they sink the boat all your units inside it die a miserable watery death!
4. It's hard for me to even explain how much effort has gone into the camera system in this game. Luckily you don't have to care - tons of actions can happen quickly with smooth and clever camera controls.
5. Because our maps are procedurally generated, you don’t even know what the full map looks like, or where you are on it when you start. Additionally, every single hex cell has a different height, which leads to much more complex, varied battles where victory and defeat is often decided by a high-ground advantage.
6. Complex fairness algorithms - despite being procedurally generated, we have complex algorithms that can generate most games fairly
7. You can play against AI with different difficulties, ranging from easy to very hard.
8. Premade maps - We have a small selection of premade maps and our selection grows with every release
