Keep Your Child Safer Online and at Home

Sexual predators targeting children online is a scary reality. The OffenderWatch family safety app helps parents protect their children from the unthinkable. Family location sharing allows parents to track their children on a map and see if registered sex offenders live nearby. Parents can also search for registered sex offenders by name or address, see the photo and details about an offender, submit-a-tip about the offender, contact local law enforcement, and get an alert should a registered sex offender move in nearby. (Offender data is for US states only and limited to those offenders published by the state) The OffenderWatch app includes friendly advice and articles about protecting your child at home and online.

Unlike other apps, OffenderWatch has partnered with law enforcement to bring the most complete and correct data on registered sex offenders available. Parents subscribe to receive alerts should their child get contacted by a registered sex offender by text, phone call, or email.sets up a contact for an offender. Parents also receive location alerts should their child linger near a registered sex offender’s home.

A Protect Plus subscription is just $4.99 per month and covers the entire family.

How the OffenderWatch monitoring Works

1 Monitor Your Child’s Device

The OffenderWatch app monitors who calls, emails, or messages your child, and tracks the location on of child’s iPhone—working silently in the background and not interfering with the phone’s use.

2 Check Against Sex Offender Data

We use the most accurate data available. It is provided directly by the law enforcement agencies who manage registered sex offenders. The app checks to see if a registered sex offender is attempting to contact your child or if your child is lingering near an offender’s address.

Offender Watch Parent Reviews

App doesn’t do anything

#None4u on

My app didn’t even search when I put an address in. Downloaded and uninstalled within 3 mins

If I could make my review negative stars, I would.

App reports very old data, listing addresses not on any offender registries. They’re putting innocent people at risk and opening themselves up to legal action. Who’s monitoring all this? They’re certainly cashing all the subscriber checks coming in, but not providing a real service. Fraud.

DO NOT GET

She Wright on

United States

The app doesn’t even start up or open. Do not waste your time read the other reviews.

Paid and Robbed.

Paid for the upgraded version and it won’t work. The app has no changes. I try to search and it says to subscribe to family watch which I already did and paid for + is in my Apple subscriptions. When I go to press subscribe again nothing happens. Reading the comments this is a known issue that has not been fixed. How much money has been stolen by the app creators? Makes me think a predator is behind this app to make it difficult to search other sick people.

Lazy app

You click on more information for the offender, and it basically just tells you to look it up yourself.

Does not work

Stumpygoat on

United States

Apparently, Vermont only uses this database for the public to search for offenders. And the only way to view this information is through the app. Nothing shows up. Have tried multiple addresses just to make sure it want me, but the app just shows a map - with absolutely zero information about convicted sex offenders on it. It just looks like google maps. Tried to go to the help section and it’s just FAQ and no way to contact anyone to ask how to better use the app. This should be public information. The free version doesn’t do anything - and you shouldn’t have to pay for this information anyway.

Paid version not working

Maecapone on

United States

I upgraded to the Family Watch paid version to use the tracking. Apple confirmed the subscription, but when attempting to used any of the paid features, I’m being promoted to upgrade again. However, even attempting to select the upgrade button does nothing. Canceling the subscription, disappointing not to be able to use. But the free version does what it says it will with no issues so far.

Not worth the download.

KD1144 on

Downloaded but it literally just shows the name and address. No photo, no description of anything. Waste of time to download.

Free - not

Just me, no family to track. Want to be aware. Get nothing on this app without subscribing to a plan. Recommended by our county sheriff, but not helpful.

Doesn’t work

Doesn’t show any offenders on the map. There has to be some in North Las Vegas
