amazing accessibility tool locked behind a paywall
i am autistic and this app was an absolute game changer for restoring my voice to my long distance partner during verbal shutdowns thanks to the mood feature. unfortunately though, they took away the ability to set anything as your “mood” and locked it behind a $50NZD/month paywall quite soon after we started using it. the default mood options are quite limiting so this has severely restricted my voice only weeks after finding it. putting previously available features behind such a high paywall is incredibly unfair, i understand that the app needs to be monetised somehow but this is rediculous. now the app is almost completely unusable as the “love buttons” screen pops up every few seconds even after trying to close it. i was ecstatic when i first discovered this app but using it over a period of time i have been severely disappointed. lots of the premium features look very fun and i would be more than willing to pick up a subscription if it wasn’t so expensive and the app actually worked.
