Cannot delete your account
This is an app specifically made for non locals, if you just came to the UAE, yeah, sure download it. But if you’ve lived it here all your life then its a waste to get, moreover!!! They ask for your phone number??! and now I cannot delete my account??!! Worst app ever and it violates my privacy rights.
Nothing in there is free
I don’t know how this app got approved by Apple. There’s nothing in there that doesn’t need a subscription. 150 dirhams/year just to see social media posts?! You can’t even see what are you paying for until you pay.
The best gem finder in UAE
I cannot imagine living in UAE without this app. I lived 5 years in UAE before and never went into mountains on my own but with this app I just search the area I want to explore and off I go! No hesitation, full trust! The app is up to date, accurate description of hikes, coffeeshops, historic places, and activities along the road or locally in Dubai, AD,… Some offered recommendations are impossible to find on your own. Also handy to know where to go with young kids. Offline maps available, just follow the downloaded trails. Thank you OTBT!

Great resource help in UAE
I follow Off the beaten track on instagram but sometimes I cannot remember all the places mentioned so whenever we are on the road trip or planning a hike and looking for nice places to go to or nice cafes in the area we will be in, we check the app. So far never disappointed! It’s a must especially for all the newbies in Dubai or those wanting to explore outside the malls and generic places and exploring fun and interesting places in UAE!
