Update: This app is super buggy. Pressing play/pause and rewind/skip forward causes the app to freeze 50% of the time. The default settings aren’t actually default and you have to manually tweak them for every book. All the cool features I talked about before are pretty useless when the app lacks basic functionality. The subscription price is absolutely outrageous for this buggy piece of software. You’re better off spending your money on the overcast premium subscription which has the same trim silence feature. Uploading books is clunkier, but at least it works (and for half the price). Original review: Love this app except for the high subscription fees. It has everything I want from an audiobook player. It trims silences, has a beautiful interface and widgets, and all the regular features. Despite these features I feel that this app is (too) expensive, especially compared to some alternatives that come close in functionality yet are one time purchase or half the price for a yearly subscription. Would be great if we could get a higher discount for a yearly subscription.
