ONF Link FAQ
Is ONF Link free?
Yes, ONF Link is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is ONF Link legit?
⚠️ The ONF Link app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The app is almost unuseae. The only way the Bluetooth stays connected is if I’m physically engaging with the app with it open on my screen. If I close the app because I have to leave the house, the automated settings no longer function. Total garbage.
I’m so disappointed how bad this app is. I really like how the light grows my plants; however like other posts, this app is complete garbage and needs a complete overhaul.
Timer pretty much useless
The timer simply does not work, unless you open the app and tap on it. Might as well do it manually. Seems like this app is not getting updated… wish I would have read the reviews and gotten a flat nano without app feature.
Watch the video on their site!!!
I would like to address some of the negative reviews as I completely understand why they are frustrated. Yes, it is true the “instruction manual” could use some work as it’s one page in English with 4 steps telling you basically how to plug it into a socket — not super helpful. What they fail to mention is when you are first trying to pair your light with your phone app — you have to click the small magnifying glass in the upper right corner to activate the app to go into “searching” mode. This is not intuitive to Western users as we associate that with searching for words or topics — not activating bluetooth pairing. Also, the issues people have with creating a schedule and not being happy with the inability to change your schedule. etc. can all be easily sorted out by watching the 3 minute video on the ONF website which walks you through the simple process of adding up to 5 different timeframes and light intensity to mimic a solar cycle. After I watched the video it was super simple to set the cycle. Also, on the website they provide a standard example of a cycle starting at 6AMand stopping at 10PM — I used this as my template for setting my 5 stages and it has been great on the two lights I own as of today. I highly recommend this product and love how it hangs on the side of my DOOA Neo glass containers…looks modern and clean and does a great job making the vegetation look very dynamic versus actual sunlight which seems to subdue the colors. Please just watch the video on the site :)
Do not buy these lights.
Awful programming. Cannot edit a program after it is written. I am stuck with a 2 hours on on time and cannot change it. These lights with the app are horrible. Tried to unplug the lights and uninstall/ reinstall the app. After pairing the old programs are still present. Can anyone help?
Great, but how do I edit the times?
@onf, once I've set my schedule, is there anyway to edit it? Only thing I can think to do is to remove the device, re-pair it, and start all over. Doesn't seem like a great solution though. Please let me know if there's something I'm missing.
Well Designed
Only purchased this for aesthetic purposes. A few typos in the instruction sheet but in terms of the overall app, rather intuitive, took 3 minutes to figure and functions to my expectation. I really wish the flat Nano+ came with a stand though.... @onf can you send me one please :’)
dumb it down, smoothen it out
Incredibly frustrating to use. First connecting the app , it doesn’t show you how. You just have to figure it out. I wish they’d dumb it down and show you how to connect the light and time settings. UI is very laggy and sluggish. Wish it’d run smoother. Also wish I would of bought the non Bluetooth since I didn’t know I’d be using a separate app than the first app they came out with
Ability to add Flat One would be ideal
App is simple enough, the timer with ability to adjust brightness for each schedule is a plus. The ability to edit timer is a bit annoying. You have to erase every time slots back to the one that needs to be edited and re-add them back after.... FLAT NAO+ and FLAT ONE are from the same company but two different apps for each light. Please update so that they can be in the same app.
