I was let in to a house using this app as entry. They robbed me of application fees and security deposit thinking I was funding my future home. For me to get no response after taking what they could from me. Open door, if you want names I have them.
Listing warm on entry. All lights were working. After I found Foul smell on main level bathroom and Dirty clothing found in bathroom sink cabinet I was concerned someone hiding in listing. I will attempt another visit today.

Toured a home with Opendoor and was in pretty rough shape. Saw a couple other houses listed that we decided to tour and was not able to self tour. Contacted multiple times and was told sorry that home just doesn’t offer self tour anymore. Go to look at another house today same error. Call and get through to someone who finally says we are apparently a security risk and not allowed to tour there properties without a realtor present. Joke of a company. The whole Niche that makes them unique isn’t even a useable feature. Do not recommend wasting your time with Opendoor.
Getting a lot of ppl scamming for rentals using this app to access the house. Beware who you do business with.
The worst, I got scammed and got my identity robbed.
I was scammed using this app. I went to go view a rental property, and the “landlord” said over the phone we could go tour it independently. We had already toured a few homes independently so it was not concerning. We ended up loving the home and wanted to move forward. We paid the application fee and gave our social security and ID information. It turns out it was a scam. He immediately sent us a fake letter of approval through Gmail and deleted all the accounts we were contacting through social media. It’s absolutely baffling to me that any random person can just access the code for the home and pose as a realtor or landlord, and let their “potential buyers” in. I wouldn’t trust this app if I were to be asked to use it again.
This app is scam do not trust this.
I’m a home buyer, I was asked to download this app to access a self tour of a home. It ask a lot of personal information including your financial situation, home address and phone number. It is a person information honey pot for home buyers.
