OpenDyslexic is an open sourced font created to increase readability for readers with dyslexia. The typeface includes regular, bold, italic, and bold-italic styles.
With the OpenDyslexic App, you can now install OpenDyslexic on your iOS device. This will let you use OpenDyslexic in all your favorite apps that allow you to choose your fonts.

This font is a lifesaver! I don’t know how Abbie came up with it, but it’s amazing! Look, you have to install some stuff to make it compatible, big whoop. It’s 100% worth it! For the longest time this was only available on the Kindle, but now she’s literally GIVING IT AWAY as an open source app to help people.
Instead of downrating it, maybe some people should reach out to the creator, (who has graciously made herself easily accessible via social media), and ask for help!

Sorry all the reviews that are terrible since they didn't understand that you can’t control what apps gives you access to custom fonts.
Many reviews without understanding
This font is a lifesaver! It works incredibly well for all apps that choose to support custom installed fonts. However, some apps do not. This is not a reason to review bomb this particular app. If you want your favorite app to support this great font, then reach out to the developers of that app and put your negative reviews over there. But do not give a low rating to this great app unless it is somehow deserving of it on its own merits.
Does not work as advertised
Does _not_ work in all iOS apps (ie, AppleBooks). Also, does not work in all apps that otherwise support installed fonts.
Unfortunately did not work
I love the idea of having a feature that can change the font to help reading with dyslexia but sadly this did not work at all on my phone:( I have the 13 pro max with IOS 17.0.2.

Thanks for making an essential typeface, OpenDys, available on iOS in several fonts! And thanks for putting up with the folks who are frustrated with Apple and put the blame on you. Like OpenDys, this app is a gift to humanity.
You need a browser extension to use this
To use this on Safari, you need to install a custom font browser extension!
Without one, it WILL NOT WORK
After that, works like a charm on webpages.

So I downloaded this to help me read and it said it downloaded successfully but nothing changed and someone explain
I wanted this to work
I really wanted this to work but no matter how hard I tried I could not get it to work for my iPhone. I don’t know what else to do. This is really not worth it on ur iPhone I could not say that for anything else though I have never tried. It might work great on other things but the iPhone is not on that list.
I wanted this to work
I use a similar app on my computer, so I was kind of excited to have it on my phone.
Upon downloading it, I tried to:
-open and close apps (via “swipe up”) to try and force the font to work
-tried turning my phone on and off
-uninstall and reinstall
-opened Facebook messenger, Apple notes, chrome, systems, texting. None worked.
Nothing worked. Turned boldness off on the phone, tried a couple other things- nothing.
I would try one of the other apps, but they seem to be having the same problem
