OpenWay est une application GPS sur smartphone qui permet à un utilisateur déficient visuel de suivre un itinéraire de manière autonome en ville ou en campagne. La spécificité de cette application dite "inertielle" permet à l'utilisateur non-voyant d'avoir toujours les bonnes indications de direction même en cas de changement d'orientation inattendu de la personne. En effet lors d'un trajet on est forcément amené à hésiter à certains endroits, et le fait de pouvoir toujours être orienté correctement quelle que soit l'orientation de son corps est un élément décisif pour arriver efficacement à destination.
