Oracle Mobile Authenticator Reviews

Annoying!

hvnbanan on

I’ve been using the Oracle Authenticator app for a while, and while it does its job, it is so inconvenient. One glaring issue is the lack of ability to approve 2fa requests directly from the notification without switching apps. Every time a notification comes through, I have to be redirected to the app, which is cumbersome and inefficient. This is a basic feature that many other authentication apps have implemented, and it’s disappointing that Oracle hasn’t assigned 2 entry level software engineers to implement this functionality. I bet two interns could complete the task tbh. This would significantly improve the user experience. Until then, the app remains frustratingly behind its competitors!

Functional

Functions, but below the standard for what I expect of apps these days. Could use some more thoughtful design.

Better but not there

After one clicks allow from notifications do NOT bring me to the Authenticator app.

Still waiting for Apple Watch app

MissionHillsKS on

The Authenticator announces on my watch but can “allow” the occurrence on my watch. Forced to use my iPhone to accept.

Too slow

By the time notification arrives it says login expired. It’s not productive with this app. This just slows down the pace of work. Very badly designed app

Works half of the time

I work for Oracle. The app only works about half of the time. It often says can’t connect to server and refuses to reconnect. You have to wait a while for it to clear out. Real pain when you have an upcoming meeting and need to share your screen and show Oracle resources. Wish they would just let us use Duo, which works every time. Oh well, the Oracle way.

Improvements Needed

When having multiple accounts it would be ideal to rename, group, or make notes to be able to better distinguish between accounts. Apple watch app would be greatly appreciated to approve/reject push notifications like that of some competitors.

Great app

The app is simple to use. It seamlessly adds an extra layer of security to my account. No complaints

It works.

Use for work and it’s functional enough. I’ll echo the requests for some basic renaming/reordering/organization of logins and a watch app.

Never works

After turning it on it never asked for MFA code. So that’s why your account might be stolen as mine!
