This app is great for meeting Bitcoiners in your area. I really enjoy using it and they are adding new features, like group chats and event posting, all the time. Highly recommend for any Bitcoiner.

The Orange Pill app is very helpful to connect with like minded friends who choose to embrace something bigger than themselves - Bitcoin. My Bitcoin education was super charged when I found community with those who share the values embodied by the Bitcoin protocol.

I traveled across the USA several years ago visiting Bitcoin meetups and I wish I had Orange Pill App back then. The ability to find Bitcoiners in different cities and connect with them is huge. It’s completely changing the way I travel. Before I go to Airbnb or Booking I am going on OPA to message a few Bitcoiners, get their recommendations and see if there’s places I can stay or eat that take sats. Also a great way to find locals to hang out with in a city, which is always the best way to travel in any foreign place. Love this app, and it keeps getting better and better!

Great social network for Bitcoiners to connect locally, organize local groups for get togethers and events

So, I take issue with the fee for this app. It’s $5 a month, $40/year, $100 forever membership. I probably wouldn’t have issue with this if when you sign up it would allow you to see how many other people in your area have the app with an active membership. This is like a gym charging you a membership fee but you can’t see what equipment they have. I don’t care if I can’t message them until I have a subscription- at least I’ll know if it’s with my money to start a membership. And let’s be honest- I also don’t care if they downloaded the app 2 years ago and haven’t logged on since, I want to know about active members. But asking $5 just to “check” if there are other Bitcoin people around me, only to find out there are none, or that the nearest people listed are from a stale database and they aren’t even actively subscribed to the app anymore is useless. I’d rather use NOSTR or X if I want to talk to Bitcoin people.

This social app is a great resource of information and an opportunity to meet like minded people. The folks who run the app are kind and knowledgeable. I am using the app to keep track of events in my state. Thank you.
