Orchestra of Lights

The light products themselves are very good quality. Have had them for years. But they all run off the app and hub. So it pretty makes the lights useless. I had the original hub and garbage. Always issues. I’m pretty tech savvy so I can’t blame me and I would, if it was me. Got excited for the new hub with a better antenna and range. Nope. Garbage. Don’t waste your time and just get a quality product like Govee. I switched to them. Zero issues. Love it. Learning their app takes a bit but once you practice is awesome. All Gemmy (orchestra company) had to do was just make a good quality hub. If it was good quality and worked, I’d pay $100 no problem. But they cheap out on the brains of the system and that’s why they have a 1.7 star. Seems like they don’t care.

The app is junk which makes the lights worthless.

Never would hook up to my WiFi.

I purchased these lights from Lowe’s. When you select a lighting color such as “Antique white,” it will stay for approximately 3 minutes and then randomly change to whatever it wants. The app doesn’t have a SAVE icon!!! The directions are not thorough! I will not be recommending this app and its products.

This app is hard to navigate through and doesn’t work 90% of the time!

This is how they get you omg, they got my mom, and don’t let them get you next. They created this app just to make you mad and confused. They offer Bluetooth and that’s WHERE THEY GET YOU!! You think “ooo Bluetooth so I can have full control to customize the music and lights” WRONG, first the speaker quality is bad which yk what’d you expect, but the whole Bluetooth ordeal my lord. You’re telling me I can connect and play any song w Bluetooth but the lights won’t work? Literally you try to connect Bluetooth and the lights shut off. I have to choose between lights or music??? That’s HILARIOUS. I get copyright free music w some lights, awesome. I wanted the Bluetooth feature to play any song I wanted to and customize the lights and you failed. Thanks! :D

This app is solely for use with the Lowe’s Gemmy brand orchestra of lights product and while the idea is great the execution is horrible. The app itself is confusing and unpolished looking some buttons/ functions like the Bluetooth have no explanation and everything appears to function exactly the same if it’s on or off. The initial process to setup the hub went ok and it did find and bind to all my lights. I was able to do shows and even sync them to music for one evening. That’s it only a single evening. After that some of the lights began to unsync from the rest and not respond. They still show in the app but don’t respond. There’s a reset procedure in the app but it return an error 100% of the time. Removed and reinstalled, tried resetting everything nothing appears able to get these to work correctly like they breifly did that first day. Now more sets appear to stop syncing and do whatever random thing they want despite all lights hub and phone having close proximity and strong wifi. It’s a little hard to tell how much of this is due to the app or the products but since they only function all together I’m reviewing as a single product. For the high price premium on these they overate as described.

The app and system work very well. The light shows are very nice and the timer seems to work to shut the lights off. I do have a question/suggestion. Instead of playing songs/shows nonstop for the duration of the timer, is there a possible way to program a song or songs to play at the top of every hour or set time.

I have 4 strings of lights, a hub, 2 Edison bulbs and a speaker box. It doesn’t sync all the time with all of the items even if they are “bound”. Constantly resetting itself or not even finding all the items. The amount of frustration these lights have given me only amplifies the frustration that I saved up for a long time for these expensive things for them to not even work.

Doesn’t work. For the life of me can’t get the power on and off to work. Absolutely absurd. Clunky design and not clear. Not a lot of customization options. Pretty disappointed overall.
